Vegas weekend hotel pricing

Yo.

Got to swing by Vegas on the way to LA end of the month. It will be a Saturday night. Maybe Friday too.

Always been to Vegas mid week where you can scoop up a night stay for like $40 or less.

Anyone got any tricks or tips so Im not paying $200 a room?

Thanks, I know how to use internet search engines and find the lowest price.

Just wondering if anyone had any other ways they knew or price deals or whatnot for the peak times.

Oh, sorry, I thought it would actually link you with the results that I got when I searched. There were plenty of $30-$40 a night rooms.

Hotwire is always what I go to when searching for good room deals.

gambling is for true suckers....if you have to think about how much you need to spend on a room/flight to go gamble>>>you cant afford it

Only trouble is they don't show the hotel's name until after you book, but that's how they're able to list them at that low of a price.

And, if you look at the percentage of people that recommend it, that will give you a pretty damn good idea of how nice it will be.

Who said he's going just to gamble?

Maybe he's going with friends to party it up. Vegas is spring break for adults. Most people go for all the other stuff and mix in a little gambling.

That said I am not that way and haven't gone to Vegas with buddies ever but I do take trips during certain sporting events just to bet on them.

He probably wants to go in on a room with his boys somewhere respectable and convenient where he can party and get wasted and have a little left over to play with.

Yes. Getting good rooms in the state of Nevada is one of the things I am good at in life. I am sure you don't want to be 10 miles away in North LV or Henderson and are going for the strip.

Hotwire is usually best.

Because the hotels are unnamed you will be taking a risk small risk. Hopefully what I write makes sense so you can lower the risk and have an idea of what you are getting.

If you are going for a strip casino/hotel make certain that under the list of amenities you see Casino listed if you want to be in one of the big legit casinos. If casino is not listed under amenities you'll get a best western or something and not the Flamingo or Mirage or MGM Grand etc. Then you have to pay attention to the location.

If you go for North Strip on Hotwire you'll get stuck in Circus Circus or the Riveria which both suck if you chose a low star rating. So if you want to avoid those go a star higher. If you book either South Strip or just West of the Strip you should be fine with the 3 or 3.5 stars. (Just west of the strip is where casinos like the Orleans, Gold Cost, Rio, Palms are and you'll get one of those dirt cheap.)

Hopefully this makes sense and you can get a sick hotwire rate around 50 bucks and get Ballys or Palms and not some shit like Circus Circus.

Hey, I usually stay at Ballys when I go to Vegas. First, it is usually pretty cheap and second, the location is great. Even though they closed down Bills Gambling Hall in Feb. I think the last time I was there I paid around 50 a night. We also did the sandwhich trick which I couldn't believed worked.

What you do is you give the desk clerk your id and credit card, between those you put some money. There was a huge group of us so we gave $100. We were upgraded to a suite and in the 2 other rooms in the better of the two towers. Google it, there are a ton of stories out there about it.

I will agree Hotwire seems to have the best prices.

Good luck!

OP i just went to vegas for SB 3 weeks ago so I can give u some pro tips.

One that place costs a shit load of fucking money. Oh my god, like go there set aside x amount of funds, and do not expect to come home with that money. If you are there for 2 nights, I suggest around $500 or so. Not including the hotel....

Gambling, it is stupid. Every game there the house always has an edge. The only game I will play from now on out is Texas Holdem, only one that has odds of winning. But I suggest you play Blackjack or roulette, stay away from slot machines they consume your soul.

Go to a liquor store and buy a handle or two of something, and make your own drinks. It is true that while you gamble you get free drinks, but honestly it can take a long time for the server to get to you. It is just better to make your own drinks in your room and bring them outside.

There is no open container law in Vegas, that means whatever you make in your room, you can take it with you to pretty much anywhere in Vegas, except for like clubs. But you can take your drink anywhere outside, walk on the strip, go into other casinos, it's pretty cool.

I don't know much about hotel pricing, I didn't book them.

Thanks for the suggestions. I should have mentioned I have been there before. I was really just looking to see if anyone had any hook ups or ways around stupid Saturday night peak prices. I have always gone mid week before to avoid that. I am only staying a night or two on my way to Long Beach. Then hopping on a Cruise for a week!

Nice amateur tips followed by not addressing his question at all... there was nothing in your post that someone won't find out in the first hour while there.

What's next? Are you going to tell him to avoid free sketchy limo services or to which free show to go check out on the strip?

No, this is probably another child's lame attempt at claiming that he went to Vegas on his parent's dime for his first time.

No I did address his question but I didn't know the answer to it. However, I just gave him a few pieces of advice from my personal experience which was just a couple weeks ago. Def deserved the berate though, god you're inbred or some fucking shit.

The whole "pro tips" thing was sarcastic btw... I thought you would of picked up on that when reading my post, again prob above your head.

Oh man, that's one strong stench of BULLSHIT coming off that post. I can smell it all the way up here on my high horse!

And no, you didn't address his question you dumb ass. All you said was, "I'm a stupid kid that has no clue how much a hotel costs but hey, let me brag about how I just went last week with my parents for the first time!"

Whatever helps you sleep at night bro.

And wait what how is that not addressing his question? I told him I don't know the answer, but here is some anecdotes from my last trip. It seems the only person who actually had a problem with it was you, sounds like you have some personal problems.

And I didn't go with my parents, but they did pay for my trip. Comes with one of the perks for not having to pay for school, all that money my parents saved for my tuition instead gets to be used for fun activities!

Then why fucking post in a thread where he's asking only about cheap hotel prices? You're nothing more than a claiming, spoiled and sheltered jackass.

Mostly because I felt like sharing some information. Based on the OP I had no idea if the OP had ever been to Vegas before. So I just passed on some info that I learned from trail and error so that he could potentially benefit from it, and you know skip the whole trail and error process. But you know, that makes me a bad person, I apologize.

On another note, claiming? Nah, nothing really special about going to Vegas. Spoiled? Again, I am thankful my parents did well and can support me, sucks yours cant given your resentment. And sheltered? Now that is pretty impressive you got that from 2 posts in a thread about Las Vegas. God you're a moron.

Finally, I got it out of you. You came in here just to be a claiming pussy. Good, now you can fuck off and let this decent NS member get the help he needs!

That place is trash.

Vegas and cruise plans just got fucking canceled anyway. Business to Switzerland and Germany instead overlapped these dates. I got fucked on my cruise, getting hardly any money back.

Hahahaha I know. I visited there when I went and I assumed that it was cheap due to how big of a shitthole it was. I stayed at the Hilton, it was nice, I guess, I was only like 14 at the time though.

If you go to Vegas or any casino for that reason you're going to gamble. If you're walking back from a club /dinner/bar/ you're going to stop and gamble. 250 doesn't leave you with much a night. At casinos I always stay at the roulette wheel for a while and get a ton of free drinks. Find a table with 10 or 15$ minimum and you could make you're money last a little while. Basically what im saying is if you're going to Vegas you're going to spend a few 100 minimum gambling.

I made a little under $500 in craps in one night last time I was in vegas, in the middle of a club, with a bunch of bitches cheering me on. Fuck off gambling is awesome

again, I would recommend craps. You can make money last, everyone is on the same team, and you can get as ignant as you want (generally).

If your going to go to vegas don't cheap out. A flight and a room for a couple of nights at the Bellagio will run you about $700. Then you will have plenty of money to spend on blow, gambling and women.
