Vectorizing Logos

Hey guys,

I just purchased a Creation P-Cut Vinyl Cutter for making custom die cuts.

The cutting software I will be using is signcut pro and I also have Illustrator and Photoshop.

I was wondering how to vectorize a logo besides using the live trace function in illustrator, which works most of the time, but looks sloppy for certain logos.

good ole hand trace it and spend the 1 hour doing it by hand..

if you use the trace function correctly then simplify the path you can reduce the number of points and it will look good.

convert to raster, live trace, then live paint.
