West seattle is cool if you work on the island. The ferry is close and you don't have to deal with traffic. I'd look down on Alki or near Avalon. A good web-site to check out is www.nwclassifieds.com. What is your budget, capitol hill is a cool place to live if you have some cash...the commute isn't too far from there...

Look on the island, in west seattle, first hill, or the U district. The ferry costs a lot so save on rent, check out the nwclassifieds.com webpage that should help you get started.

I'd say check U district. if you'll be there in the summer then there won't be as many UW students so there'd be more cheap housing around.

first you say that you want somewhere as cheap as possible but hten you say that you're willing to spend money... i don't get it... all the youth is in downtown kent, which is a bit of a commute... but I'm sure you could find some russian gang to join there...there's plenty... or try tent city.....

well i mean i am willing to spend money cause im gonna only be there two months and i know i prolly will have to pay a lot cause i ned somewhere for only 2 months and to be furnished which will be hard to find. but i would like to spend the least amount possible while also still being somewhere cool and close to the ferry and some bars

Well, the U-Distric isn't really close to ferrys or bars or anything like that. Are you going to have a car? If you don't have a car, it'll be a pain to get from the U District to Vashon or wherever. But its certainly crawling with college kids.

not nearly as much, no. But there are a LOT of people who do summer quarter, you'd be surprised. I took summer quarter last year, and the school probably had about half as many people as normal (read: still a ton)

hmmm, what schools have you looked in to? I would assume most, if not all, major universities do. Because many people are involved in academics year round, you know professional students? (grad students, etc.). Even all community colleges have full on summer quarters (BCC, shoreline, etc etc). So, uh... what schools have you looked at? Hell, even WSU has summer quarter. Can't imagine theres more than 5 people plus Sam Caylor in pullman in the summer.

i don't remember what school it was... I looked into it about a year ago and immediately threw it out when I found out they didn't have summer classes...

that i do but I have to pay fulltuition to go in the summer... my high school pays if I go during the school year.. plus I want some break and I don't get winter off in high school and after high school, why would I want to stick around green river?
