The Mexican food in my area is pretty great compared to the rest of the local cuisine and chile rellenos burritos are my favorite. Lengua is the worst honestly I don't know how people can stomach it

I have one of the best Shawarma places in town 1 minute walking from my house. I even know the owner and damn their shawarmas are good!!
Since I live in Canada there are a few good places to get poutine which is fucking amazing.
we also have this one hype-beasty ramen place. It’s approximately an hour wait to get in, and they have a limited supply of broth. It reminds me very much of Supreme, because I had to wait 30 minutes to get inside that store and when I got in there wasn’t much left that was good.

Favorite food from the home town is an RBS(Roast beef special) in town. Sort of a french dip with mozz. They cook their own roast veef there. First and last thing I buy when visiting. Also another place makes really good subs. The hone mtn has a killer mex econo night.
Got all of the above in the last 3 days. Leaving tomorrow morning. Gonna grab one more rbs tonight. Also saranac pale ale because local beer and good.

Best food in my region is sandwiches, pork roll, pizza, crab, Trenton burger, pork roll, and pork roll. I also work at one of the best crepe restaurants on the eastern seaboard. I am a pretty good chef, though not really a master.

currently live in steamboat springs. taco cabo here is the best mexican food in town. the guy who owns it is super cool, he does a ton of reading and research to constantly improve recipes/service. he also makes his own hot sauces which are really really good.
my hometown of rochester is the birthplace of the garbage plate. picture a plate with a bottom layer split down the middle of hash browns and mac salad, topped with a choice of meat (burger patties, hot dogs, or chicken tenders are the most common) and a meat sauce. ketchup, mustard and hot sauce over everything, and you mash everything together.
