What is the "varial filp" of skiing?

For context, a varial flip is a skateboarding maneuver that most people learn and know how to do, but it just looks so awkward/bad that nobody does them.

Lip on Front 2? Don't see too many of those...

Lip on front 2 looks fucking sick though. alright not as much as lip b2 but....

Imo, definitely non superman or grabbed frontflip (and not the small ones hucked on rollers, those are dope). They are pretty easy, yet no one does them because let's be honest they look ugly as fuck. Thinking of it, they are also the most awkward and unflowy rotation on a kicker, you're going the most opposite way of the kicker that you can. A misty flows better because you're not going fully forward.

I see where OP is coming from but I think the varial flip is frowned upon because of how simple it is and how easy it is to learn. It's a go to beginner trick that looks cool to non skaters. The equivalent in skiing is just any beginner/gaper trick. Maybe a straight air with a grab or something like that.

I would say yes, but they're are people like JP and Duncan who steeze those out beyond belief. Where as you aren't going to buy a Girl or Baker video with someone doing that with a Varial.
