VANULAR TO JOSS THREAD

i do and its one of my fav segs of all time. i would totally vote for him if that was his entry and i know hes sick, i just think some people had better entries this year.
 
yup its not even a comparison, vanular is way better, gus is just another sloppy techy kid, doubles are getting so damn boring, and theres gonna be too many being thrown at joss as it is, we dont need another person to add to the boringness.
 
DUDE , gus is hyper techy everywhere , he just proved it last week by winning aspen open pipe and slope .... he spin both ways perfectly does dubs with two grabs is insane at rails and is steezy .... youd prefer to see butter 9s during 2weeks instead of seeing 111110000 different tricks?( no homo XDDDDDDDD)
 
Um have you ever watched Vanular's segments? That dude was one of the first doing double grabs. Perfect mute to japan 9's. He started doing shifties before anyone else. He can spin all ways with style, not a lot of people can do that. Gus has a gross style in my opinion. All his tricks looks super hucked even when he grabs. While Vanular makes all his stuff look so easy and effortless. No hate towards Gus, he's good but he just isn't a person I like to watch ski. Vanular can throw down just as hard as anyone if not more. He was doing 270 on pretzels on handrails before most people were doing them on flat boxes. Nollie nuggets onto urban, 450 disaster onto urbans. Vanular is the illest. While you look at Gus and the other dudes and go "wow he can do this double just like 15 other dudes can. While you look at Vanular and go "damn I've never seen that before." People need to get their heads out of there double loving, spin to win asses and look at the real shit.
 
Well no fucking shit its not a contest for filmers. I think you are the retarded one for not getting my point LAST TIME, Edit wasn't as good as others imo because of the filming (not skiing) and thats how they get into joss based on the votes of that and thus I think it hurts his chances.

All in my opinion, if you disagree you can go fuck yourself.

Uh yah, I would rather see butter 9's than doubles any day of the week. Watch Show N' Prove as well an educate yourself on what Vanular is capable of.
 
I would really like to see Vanular and Laurent make it to JOSS. 3rd teammate i don't really care, there are tons of other good entries, Chris Logan would be cool though.
 
I remember the first edit he made when he came back from injury. He seemed quite timid and nervous about re-injury on rails, and it really showed in his style.

Then he did a nose butter 9 off a booter, and now he is back with a fucking vengeance.

i agree with you. Nothing against Gus or Bobby, theyre both fucking sick.

But Vanular so smooth, the blunt zero in his JOSS edit was oozing style.
 
Shut the fuck up. If someone dude was blatantly trying to bash you you're going to take it personal. That just shows you Vanular is a real dude and not putting on a front to make everyone happy. Vanular is the illest. Get that in your head and you'll realize how good is really is.

vanular deserves it more than anyone. Hes done more for our sport and had more influence on me than anyone else. He got injured right as he was bout to really blow up big. I think he deserves a second chance more than anyone.

If he doesn't end up going then i will have lost all hope in NS ever being legitimate site for skiers again
 
now nothing againist corey, he does kill it but he did just come back from an injury. i would rather see him go next year when he is at the top of his game. he is an amazing skier, but i feel like the injury could hold him back alittle. personally i would like to see sean jordan go, young kid who is killing it and is always stepping up his game. gus is also skiing the best he has ever been, esp after winning the aspen open slopestyle. LJ and walker r basically locked in now, but i would be happy to see corey, sean or gus on the team.

Do you really think Vanular would enter this contest, knowing the magnitude of it, to further injure himself? I'm sure he feels like he can perform 100% or he wouldn't of entered. He came back last year from his injury and murdered it right off the bat. People keep assuming all this bullshit, you guys should think logically next time.
 
ya have u ever tore ur acl or anythign like that. it doesnt go back to normal strength fast at all. ur looking atleast 2 years of recovery and then it still inst perfect. and i agree i dont know the extent of his ingury or how it feels now, but if it even bothers him a little it could effect him. i would much rather see him compete is JOSS when he is at the top of his game

Gus Kenworthy is sick and all and yes he has quite a good bag of tricks but C-van is super tech too, they are both tech in different ways, corey does some of the crazy weirdest shit on jumps and boxes, butters off jumps/onto boxes, crazy grabs, flips onto rails, Corey is one of the most innovative skiers the sport has seen.
and to answer your question yes i would much rather see a bunch of butter 9's than a shitload of double flips, im getting kinda sick of doubles and Corey Vanular would bring something new to JOSS, something that JOSS needs, a creative styly skier, plus not to mention this is a great opporotunity for corey to get back on the scene after a couple years out.

Not really... if you rehab it right it takes about 8 months, it takes 2 years if your like 40, I know because I literally just did it.
 
Or Corey did because he relied on his name and didn't put together a good edit. Shit he should have just put that video posted above up and cut it off at 1 min, would have been better than his current one.
 
I have to say that he doesn't seem to be where he was back in LSS, because that shit was, well, the shit. What I've seen of him since he has come back isn't..
I do hope he'll reach that level again though
