Vans Park@Cairngorm Mountain Sucks Balls Rant

Who ever runs the vans park really doesn’t have a clue about park

construction, design and lay out and maintenance. They don’t actually

realize, there is a lot of pre season planning to do over the summer. As well

has building the jumps, setting up rails and daily maintenance over the winter.

He seems to think, building a park is like baking a cake, when it’s kind off

like running a business, i guess. Another thing about the vans park is, it’s

lacking creativity.

Going of the subject of the vans park, i really think it’s

about time to bust some serious balls at my local (glenshee) and try and convince

them to build a park what’s going to be oozing creativity.

Flat Down Rail

wow that park sucks balls i know how you feel when doutch bags dont even lend you a rake to fix shit up

dude north america is riddled with shitty parks. don't get me started on mine. however hahaha at the row of jumps

the jibs look okay, but the jumpon/landing could do with some work. that jump "line" looks ridiculous though. that snow could be used to build a 2/3 flowing jump line, no problemo (a lil groundwork in the summer would help a lot). not to mention it looks pretty dangerous, the landing starts basically where the lip is, and it looks like the jump could easily take you to the flat part

jibs look ok????? haha

looks like the battleship drives you straight into the ground, the FD has no lip, and the FDF...well FDFs shouldnt exist in the first place...

words can't begin to describe to utterly worthless that park looks, i do believe i'd kill myself if i had to ride that.

i still think that is pretty beaut for the UK though. I think it is actually incredible to see any real skiing over here, let alone a park!

if you had seen the park of the place i was for the last 4 days you would quit skiing. i would consider my self lucky to hit up that place.

C.G.M can’t really do

any sort of terrain enhancement in the summer, because it’s in the cairngorm

national park. So i couldn’t really see the C.G.N.P authority would

be to happy if there was any sort of enhancement in the park what’s going to

damage the landscape ect.

I personally wouldn’t want to be head digger at the vans park any way.

I'm going to concentrate trying to get a park built at my

local (glenshee) instead.

Yeah, it needs to be done, we should get more people on the case. Question is where would the put it, likely up in Butcharts where they say there is already jumps (natural) but they are shit, they also there is a quarter pipe (natural) on plastic slope but again it is shit. They could easily set up a park, probably just need to show there is enough interest...

There’s been some people who’ve went out there way to get

some rails built with there own cash. But they haven’t really bothered to get

them to glenshee, so they can be set-up. There was talk about building the park

on the left side of claybokie, but it's to flat for any jump lines and there isn’t

really any natural features what could be used. But it would be a ideal

location for a jib garden maybe.

I’ve been trying to get this park built for years now, but

the management ignore my emails. I’ll email management again and try and get

some thing to happen. If they don’t email me back about it, well it’s there

loss
