Vans authentics microwave

when i bought my Vans Authentics the guy told me to microwave them and then put them on for a more comfortable fit. but he never told me how long to put them in for. (i checked the searchbar, so don't bitch at me for that)

well i wouldn't expect this to be in the searchbar archives already...and i would say go for intervals of 30seconds until they are fairly warm then slip them on..

Does this actually help, I've heard of people doing it but never done it myself. My square ones could use a microwave if it will make them softer. The shoelace things aren't that much metal???? try not to blow up though.

Blah I'm in the process of breaking in my Eras and it fucking sucks. Anyways, I would say just wear them through the pain, hahaha. No microwaving.

just got new eras and i still wanna wear my old ones with holes cause they're so much more comfy. i would think an oven would work better than a microwave tho as far as molding them goes.

That's kinda the point of authentics. You're supposed to wear the fuck out of them and make them the most comfy shoes imaginable.

But I have the same problem, I already sweaty feet and when I go sockless my insoles turn black and have a thin layer of much on them (yes, I know gross) but all you have to do is make a thin paste of baking soda and water and scrub the insoles and they look brand new.

don't worry, i put metal in the microwave all the time and no damage has been done. although, the metal is made of plastic...

no they get pretty gross but you can clean them. i have one pair that ive had for like3 years and they smell horrible but they really are the most comfortable things you can put on your feet.

Loosely ball up some aluminum foil inside a small paper bag and put it inside each shoe. Then put the microwave on high for 20 minutes.

Perfection.

I really hope OP has common sense when he reads this one..

my eras cut up the back of my feet and bloody up my socks, but they're pretty new and they are pretty much the comfiest shoes ever
