because it wasnt fans you dummy. the black block was in the audience, and people simply came to riot. whether we won or lost shit would have gone down.
i witnessed most of the gnarly stuff seen on the news first hand, it was shocking. never have i seen so much destruction in my life. i was right next to the first car that got tipped, there was still 1:30 left in the game.
the best site of the night though, that i saw in person and not on the news, was people picking up a section of portable construction fence and using it to rush a row of riot cops decked out in full riot gear including shields. it was like a renaissance battle of shields hitting shields. that was fucking awesome.
