Anyone here have a vw or similar... looking at some 70's westfalias or early 2000 late 90 eurovans/ weekenders

Im trying to sell my 07 highlander and pocket some cash after my buy so I can afford to take her on a road trip after said deal, this mean the vans gotta be below 11 or 12k

I feel pretty lost in looking at the vans, i know I want a vw unless theres a sweet astro van or similar

any insight is appreciated

Are u looking for a vw for style or practicality bc u can get like a ford or chevy utility van that people build bunkbeds for and stuff. I'm sure they're cheap and decent mileage compared to an old vw. I dont know anything about this stuff so i probably sound like an idiot.

so far i can get a euro van for pretty cheap like 4500 or a weekender for like 6-12 i haven't found too many west's yet though

worth every penny man. Just go for it. you will not regret it.

Westfalias from the 90's are probably the best for living in vs size. Sprinters are just too bulky and there are good reasons 90% of people would pick a Westfalia over a Eurovan. But unless you can devote some good time into fixing it up it would be very very difficult to find a fully working one for less than 10k.

Get a 90's diesel truck like an F-250 Powerstroke and then get a camper that fits in your bed. Much more reliable route to go with a diesel.

If your looking for something to road trip in you may want to look for something with fewer miles because those links you posted have some high mileage and will break.

Relevant. Toronto Blue Jays prospect, Daniel Norris lives in his van in a Wal-mart parking lot during training camp/pre-season down in Florida. Seems like a pretty cool dude.

Owner of a 1979 vw bus and let me tell you man, there is nothing like it. So much fun to drive and sport around. The westfalia camper is so sweet and it's gonna be a thrill if you end up getting one.
