Hi - just seeing if anyone on here might be doing a season in Val D'isere France this winter. May be heading out there and looking for any accomodation or people to ride with.

Whistler looks real difficlt to finance this winter Tori - it sucks but I'm looking into other possibilities. Hopefully get something sorted.

Val d'Isere is sick though. They are stepping up their parks this year and you have some of the best freeride terrain going. Oh , and sick nightlife, - cept for all the poms ;)

where in valdisere last winter... kinda fun, the park sucked thought.. and oh when i where there it hadent snowed in lik 3 weeks YES!!!

I might get over there this winter. Goin to italy for the europe snowboard open cause i know the guy who is building the shit then going to switz and maybe france to go skiing

ya cell phones suck ass in the US. they only work half the time and suck in the mountains. ive heard that pretty much whereever you are in europe you get perfect reception and no static and shit

hey man, a buddy and i are workin 4 crystal holidays in france this season. really wanna go 2 tignes cos we no a bunch of rippers there so we hav put a request in but def. wanna b in the savoie region and preferably the tarantaise. done a season in courchevel. worst snow in 46yrs but fuck me it was fun.

yea this seasons gonna be massive, i heard its gonna dump big time. shud be a good one!!

Whoever said the val park was shit - i thought it was pretty good last year - especially the huuuge step-down and hip, big enuff for me anyhows!

dude they said that before my season and it was the worst in 46yrs lol. yeah i thought both parks were good. thought the tignes one was best. it had a pipe 4 a start. such a sweet resort. dont no tc's man but im sure every1 was cool

true - they always say its gonna be big! but this is my 4th season and ive heard more this time, although i dont think anything cud beat 99/00, that was insane - they had to shut down parts of the alps for like 3 weeks due to avalanche risk. fucking awesome!

Skiing in val thorens is awesome for freeride, moutain-hiking and so, but the snowpark is crappy, except during boarderweek in december.

Val d'Isere is going to be awesome this winter! Both Tignes and Valdisere are talking about big park-upgrades! Supposingly they are building a pipe and some kickers in concrete for this year... Hey, why dont everyone going to Tignes or Valdisere this year leave their email adresses here or send it to me in a message, we can hook up some time during the season!?

Im going to valdisere only for the freestyle milieu, to hook up with some other danish newschoolers.

Yea Val Thorens is sweet, the three valleys is fucking huge!

Im going to meribel this year, does anyone know how the park is?

 
Meribel has a nice park, some good rails and two pipes in different sizes. Bonus: There's a ski-life just next to it compared to val T where you have to ski a whole transport slope down from the park everytime you're done...

Good thing about Meribel is, that they have a direct connection to Mottaret which has another 2 pipes and a loong park...
