Vail Trip in March .. what the hell is with the weather this season?

So I live in pittsburgh and been checking the snow report .. what is with colorado this season?
are conditions even that good?
 
what its been doing pretty much the whole season, storm rolls in and it starts snowing and then 20 min later it rolls off and stops snowing, its really rocky out there but i mean if you dont care about rocks u can still have a fun tiime, and the parks in co are better then ever.
 
theyre getting better... actually somehow. I was just in some BC areas sledding today, and the snow in some spots was nipple deep where it was windloaded (dont worry, i was in low angle trees goosin around), but pretty much boilerplate everywhere else. It is stabilizing which is good too. Vail has pretty much everything open and youre still a month away, dont start bitching yet.
 
Don't sweat it man, there's a ton of snow that falls in March so you have a great chance at catching a good powder day.

I can remember plenty of foot + days at Vail in March during spring break.

If it doesn't snow the park will be good, the apres scene will be wild and you can just cruise and drink.

its El Nino, which of course is Spanish for the ninobut el nino usually brings a snowy spring (knock on wood), and as mention march is always one of our snowiest months
 
Yea last year was pretty similar at this point and then in march BOOM. Vail got fucking pimp slapped by the snow gods and I was shredding fresh tracks ALL day. Patients is a virtue here in CO, if you wait and pray it will come
 
^ Told you, its actually starting to do something, God dam Im pissed that I have gone skiing in 2 weeks though, and I cant go this weekend. FUCK YOU WORK!!! Seriously stop scheduling my shifts on the weekends. I may have to call in sick on sunday.
 
Looks like it has turned around. Been looking at coloradopowderforecast and looks sick/

anyone going to be in vail march 8th - 13th? I would love to have a butt buddy to show me around.
