Vail Resorts covid lift lines

I got time-off to burn so was considering going down to the vail/breck/key area later in March or April. With all the restrictions curious how things have been with lift lines and so forth so far. Mind you I'd probably get some week days in so would at least avoid some weekend crowns but even then wondering if its worth it this year. Thanks for the word. Plus i've never skied in Colorado so any extra beta on how to do a trip is appreciated. Will probably stay in an airbnb.

Week days not bad. Pretty long at times on the weekends until everyone spreads out. Makes sense since they aren't packing the lifts like they normally would.

maybe its a better experience at other resorts but they just cant seem to get a handle on things in PC with lack of snow, lack of terrain, huge crowds, ornery guests, etc. Its a shit show.

Not CO but I was at Okemo yesterday with some fam

It was BAD- incredibly crowded, massive lift lines (we waited in one for 45 mins), the whole mountain was ice, they were making snow all over which is understandable but riding a lift with snow guns blasting you in the face the entire time is fucking miserable.

They are definitely not limiting the number of tickets sold. It was an absolute shitshow with even worse conditions. Not exactly worth the $110 we each paid. I may sound like a bitch, but I was pretty uncomfortable to be around hundreds of people for an extended period of time, even if masked and outside.

I'll happily go back to hiking backcountry hits and backyard rails and staying the fuck away from the crowds for another year, thanks.

FYI it was fucking horrendous today getting to get on the hill at breck (from satellite to gondola then gondola to base peak 8).

You have to be parking at the gondola lots (cost money) by 830 to avoid that shit mess. Might get better, I know today was cause of a logistical issue with a gas main break, but get your breck reservation midweek if at all possible to avoid this.

The local hill near me just got bought out by vail and it is a similar story. Opening day (just two weeks ago because of a bad snowmaking budget) there was a 4 hour line to pick up season passes because vail didn't mail them out in time. A lot of the family owned resorts near me have also seen record crowds too. It isn't just a vail issue.

PC lift lines have been worse than ever, the reservation system is a joke they're not restricting anything, I think there are more skiers than last year.

Yea it's been worse because of the lack of snow, no where for people to disperse to.

PC was really bad around the holidays because of this, but theyve got most lifts open now, definitely below average runs open but thats not an excuse for the crowds anymore at PC IMO

That's good. The high alpine at breck still isn't all open.
