Vail Lift tickets

i might go out to my uncles in vail during Winter Break and thers this thing epic pass. you can go to most mtns in the area for like 500$. you can check it out at snow.com

last time i checked lift tickets go for a certain rate... you don't find too many deals, especially from a bunch of teenagers on NS

ask around when you are walking up if anyone has extra buddy passes on their season passes. That will take a couple bucks off

sometimes shops have discounted tickets, but idk about for vail though? do you absolutely have to ski vail? ive never really been all that impressed with it, check out copper or breck instead, or go to utah where you cant go wrong wherever you ski...

hehehehe lucky me i have connects and can get lift tickets for free at pretty much any western resort as much as i want. skiing breck and keystone all of spring break for free /claim

your really not gonna get a cheap lift ticket in vail and im pretty sure its to late to buy an epic pass. unless you have a connection your gonna have to pay full price

Best deal if you don't know anyone that A.works there or - B. has an epic pass to get ski with a friend ticket, is to purchase online, 7 days in advance. www.snow.com

check high rockies craigslist, somtimes people post dicounted lift tickets on there. wouldn't be stupid with fraud as they check often there and you can spend lots of money in court costs.

people with an epic pass can get discounted tickets for 6 friends, but they are still very expensive, only like 10 or 15 bucks off

There are not many options unfortunately. Vail is expensive, but it's so much better than Keystone and Breck, unless you are looking to ride some park.

Option 1: Go to the lift ticket office and pony up for lift tix. Here are the prices:

http://www.vail.com/plan-your-trip/lift-tickets/lift-tickets-explorer.aspx

Option 2: Purchase and Epic Pass. This is probably the best thing to do, but it's too late to purchase one.

Option 3: Make friends with someone that works for the mountain. They get a limited amount of $30 passes. There are a lot of foreigners that work at Vail that sell these because they don't have family come up. To find these individuals, you want to go to the employee housing called Timber Ridge. You can get to Timber Ridge on a free bus from the transportation center, which is right in the heart of Vail. You will want to take the Red line. It runs every 15 minutes. To get back to the Transportation Center, you want to take the Green line. It also runs every 15 minutes. The best times to find employees are when they are getting back from work, which is probably around 4-5PM.

Option 4: Make friends with someone that has an Epic Pass. I might be wrong, but I believe these pass holders get some discounted tix as well, but they are not that cheap, but cheaper than the rack rate.

Option 5: Bring a backpack. Put your jacket in this backpack. Hike a short distance to the bottom of Chair 2, or 26. Hide in the woods and take your jacket out of said backpack. Then jump on the lift. This is illegal. It's not illegal to hike the mountain, but once you jump on the lift, it becomes illegal.
