Vail is for sale

As far as I am concerned, if I want a place to tear it up with my buds I am going to Alta. It is probably my favorite place for SKIING steep and deep shit. BUT, if I want a place to go for a few weeks over Christmas with my family I am going to Vail.(Sadly I have never been to Whistler but I know, I know...it is awesome) Vail as a resort can't be beaten by anyplace I have been to. (I know Whistler is great blah blah) The atmosphere in Vail is unique and can't be matched by Alta, Snowbird, Brek, CB, PC, Aspen (well, kinda), Beaver Creek, or Deer Valley. 5,000 acres doesn't hurt either, and for those of you who haven't been to Vail, it does have amazing skiing. SO there, Alta is great for skiing, Vail is great for skiing and as a resort.

vail is a rip, whistler is cheaper think about that, probablt the greatest terrain park better snow, better steeps better parties why go to vail im goin to whistler for a week in early feb. you can worry about vail all you want while I session whistlers park and rip the backcountry.

nothing is going to change. even if they do sell it off everything is going to be the same for the average pass hold for the next couple of years. vail isn't $85 a day either...

also if you haven't skiied at a mountain don't talk shit about it. vail is better than 90% of the mountains that people on ns ski.

Anyone who responds with a 'it won't change' a no evidence to back it up sounds like an idiot. Unless you're just no sharing your vast knowledge of ski industry business trends, don't make economic predictions about businesses that have more money (and want more money) than you'll ever have.

what were we thinking we all should of thrown in a grnad and bought it for ourselfs. that would have been sick. rider owned rider runed moutain. the only problem is i don't have a grand. shit. it always sounds better in my head.

^Whistler does not have better snow....are you nuts? It rains in Whistler, plus their website states that they get around 330 inches a year there. Vail gets 360 inches of dry snow and no rain. Whistler may have a sick terrain and good steeps, but do not say better snow. I love both mountains though.

I own you
