right now the snow pretty much sucks. there isn't a lot of it, but it is suppose to snow tommorow, the first time in like 2 weeks. the park there is pretty good, lots of cool rails and pretty good hits. i did a little back country there over break, and it was a little sketchy, and wasn't really worth it. There are lots of drop-able cliffs in china, sibera, and northwoods. also blue sky basin. we had many cliff drops to completely hard pack landings. if the light is flat and there is no sun it will royally suck ass because the snow is this icy shit that bounces you everywhere and sucks to land on. if the snow is corn though, you can drop some decent size cliffs, like 15 foot plus, and not get punished on the landing. runs wise, check out rasputains and red sqaure. those can be fun. also steep and deep (i think) and the trees below it. The easiest BC to get to where you can get back into the area is in blue sky. It is on the right side of the lift as you go up. you can't miss it. it is like a area with some drops and a few open areas that drop into some trees and back to one of the blue sky lifts. it is really easy to get to. just travel right off the main lift and ski to the boundry, duck the rope, and just follow the already cut out path, and just sort of skate through the trees. i would head into the east vail area right now, everything is pretty sketchy.
