Vail/Epic Employee Pass Question

So this winter I'm going to visit Japan for the first time and I'm hyped. Since I'm a Vail employee I thought I would be good to access to new resorts in Japan. However this is not the case, you need to purchase the Epic Local at least to access these resorts. Does anyone know if there is some sort of partial upgrade Vail can do for you to be able to access restricted foreign resorts without buying a whole other pass? I will be calling them after work today but figured I'd ask here first.

Thanks

Sadly no, at least what I was told last season. Really the only thing Vail has available for employees are special room rates at their owned lodging properties wherever you plan to ski and I think employee ticket vouchers that you can use for a discount. Those resorts aren't also 100% owned by vail so I think its only 7 days of skiing with your epic pass if you just bought straight up.

Im working at thredbo. And was told to basically get fucked regarding even a discount at perisher.

Thought about buying an epic and getting reinbursed when I start at Northstar in 2 months but honestly fuck them.

Shout out to the douchers in HR at Perisher keeping the ski scene real.

I went to Jackson last season with my Mammoth employee pass. Even though IKON gets 5 days at Jackson, I only got 50% off. No big deal, trip was sick.

Perisher still has an HR department? Lucky.
