sick sick sick. big rock drops everywhere. Shaded from the sun so the snow stays dry and fluffy. I loved it there. freshies in the trees in the runout. Just a gnarly face that's tons' fun
it was actually my forst time at Vail, and I spent most of the day at in the Basin. I think it has the most fun terrain in the county.. even though vail isn't in the county.
A-basin has some gnarly shit, but blue sky was steeper and had more 'do-able' rock drops than Pali face.
I just thought blue sky was very do-able. it had a big cornice to drop, some nice 10 - 15 foot cliff drops, and tons of big rocks to leap off. People can talk a big game about gnarly terrain and big cliffs. But it is useless if they are too big to drop. Like a lot of the cliffs at A-basin.. A 30 foot cliff does me no good, because I ain't droppin that shit
ya man blue sky basin is dope. i haven't hit up a-basin yet this year, there wsn't enough snoww earlier in the year, i find a-basin as alot better tech steep runs, the cliff's there are pretty knarly and there arn't to many that i can drop, i do have 1 favorite line there thou
vail has alot more friendly stuff to drop off of.

sounds sick, im going out to vail/ breck/ keystone in 2 weeks, if anyone wants to tell me of any good spots where i should be able to find some good snow, it would be appreciated
I was just there, it's super sick, even without fresh snow. If there is no fresh snow I'd recommend hitting the bowls sometime around 10:30 or 11 so the snow has time to soften up.
One morning we decided to hit the bowls at like 9:30 before the sun warmed the snow and it was just the sketchiest thing I've ever skied. We went back later after it had warmed up and it was clumpy but much softer.
