Vail/Beaver Creek housing

Hey everyone, I just scored a gig as a ski instructor at Beaver Creek, and I'm looking for a place to stay with a group of 4 to 6 people. We're not looking for anything fancy, just something budget-friendly and ideally somewhere in between Vail and Beaver Creek or close by. I´ll be staying there from December 15th to March 20th.

If you're from the area or know of a good place to stay, please reply. Much appreciated!

doubt you'll be able to find anything budget friendly within a half hour of either mountain. maybe check classifieds in eagle/gypsum? wish i could help more. housing situation is pretty fucked throughout the valley

avon is gonna be super convinient actually there is a walmart super center. Honestly employee housing in avon is available and they let u request roommates easily. Thats the cheapest option. You can always apply as a backup. Pro tip: ask for the 3rd floor corner room of any of the buildings. It has a larger living room, high ceiling and a loft. Youll be able to take the bus or walk to the parking lot shuttle. If you grt a bus pass make sure you ask for the discount so it comes down to $60/month.

budget friendly and vail are not things that fit into a coherent sentence

Jajajaja I know but I mean the cheapest possible. I’ll be getting paid so it won’t be that bad.

lowkey sounds like it’d be sick if money doesn’t matter and u can take a year with 4-6 buddies and lose money.

If your rent is $450 and you lose money you deserve to be broke.

I lived in avon employee housing for 2 winters, worked as an uncertified ski instructor. Lived off tips only, saved up $5k a year even tho i was backlining twice a week. Its legit, this was in 2019 when uncertified were getting $12/hr. You will make money if u dont smoke crack. Honestly not smoking crack was the hardest part.

Look into the Tarnea(employee housing) in Avon. They double up rooms these days. But maybe could get a 2 br woth 4 of you. Some buildings are nocer than others. Avon didn't have much for deals 10 years ago. Doubt its any better. Hell even Leadville is expensive er these days. Eagle is cool and not too bad of a drive. Heard that's gotren mlre spemdy but prolly the most options around.

Skatepark in Edwards is pretty sick too.

Not sure about now but the mtn used to subsidize bus passes. Depending on parking for your department could be easier to carpool but nice to have the bus option too.

Beaver Creek is underrated and has some decent tree skiing and steeps.

I feel like you’d have better luck with a year lease or just staying in employee housings. I hear BC housing is slopeside and super rad
