nailed it. its been so warm here. january has been JUNE-uary. minus the sun. 20k outerwear still isnt cutting it. never thought i would be soaked all the way through my baselayers.
Then where would be the best to go, other than Washington? We are in Alberta, so the further north, the better. Whitefish, maybe? Stevens Pass, if that's not rainy? We only ski BC and AB, so we don't really have any good ideas of what's the best.
What's the absolute best place to go for next week? We only do one trip outside of Canada a year, so we try to go to the best place possible at the time. We have skied Whitefish (loved it) and Vail (hated it)
I ski the Lake way too much, and if we are heading somewhere other than canadia once a year, I would rather go somewhere I can't just drive to for a weekend, considering this is the only time between now and spring break I have 6 days off.
We have been a shit load of rain and on top of that we have been getting sleet. I would say your best shot is BC, try Whistler. Maybe somewhere in Idaho but stay clear of Washington.
I moved here like 4 years ago thinking the rain thing was a joke, but its not. skiing is terrible here! Just found a job in a neighboring state and Im moving there next month to get outta this god foresaken RAIN HOLE!
I heard WA doesnt even advertise tourism anymore bc they get so many complaints about disappointed visitors!!
This kids got it. Seriously. listen to us locals we know wassup our state sucks. It's actually raining right now. If you doubt me pm me your phone number i'll take pictires of the rain, or even a video if you want.
pics are shopped to make it look like snow. it's actually dishwashing detergent spread on the mountain so when it rains it makes the detergent turn into white fluffy stuff that looks like pow but actually it's like skiing in a dishwasher
