I loved V for Vendetta but my sister hated it because she thought it was full of awfull messages of torture death rape ect. she 3 years older than me so she kinda got the upper hand. What did u guys think, if youve seen it.
I loved it, and its been my experience that lots of the reasons people cite as criticism seem the show that they might not completely grasp the concept or intention of the movie.
it was a movie that you wont like if you just watch it. if you actually think about whats happening and observe shit then it will become a much better movie. so for stupid people its bad
I think your sister needs to stop being a women's rights activist bitch. The movie was nothing like that and was really, really good. In short, your sister missed the whole point of the damned movie.
Actually, the movie was based off a comic book that came out well before the attacks and the state of the American government as it is today. So to say the movie is a metaphor for the 9/11 attacks would just be false.
im fucking pissed off, i saw this movie last night with a few of my friends (to remind you im deaf, but i still watch movies at the theaters sometimes) this movie, is the first time that i do NOT understand ONE part of what was going on with out CC. FUCK..and yet after the movie i asked what the fuck the movie was about, and they couldn't explain it to me cause it was too complicated..
i saw it once with my g/f.. an di was kinda explaing the movie to her throughout.. but i loved it and so did she... then i saw it again and i loved it even more because i noticed things i had missed the first time around
90% of the people who didnt like it just didnt understand it. the wachowski(sp) brothers even said this wasent a movie for the majority of americans. they simply didnt have the capacity to understand it.
the thing i like about it was the fact that it was like a major movie but had some things about it that were much better than the average main stream movie...overall i thought it was okay, but very badass. the badass element and V's dialogue was sweet.
This movie would not have worked without the Guy Fawkes mask. Like without it, it just wouldve been some guy out to get the government, but the mask just took it to a whole other level.
^Bingo, I just don't see how a movie with powerful imagery and symbolism cannot be enjoyable, satire just isn't a concept the average American can comprehend
It definatly had its moments. great premise. great graphic novel. though V never learned anything. his hero from the count of monte cristo learns something, while V ignores his love, and goes for vengance. I enjoyed it, but it could have been better
