Hey I ski at UW. I am in a club at UW called Husky Winter Sports. Basically we drink a lot and ski a lot, you get a free pass and a free cabin on Alpi to stay in whenever you want. We teach lessons for 2 hours on sat and sun for 6 weekends, and we train you too. All you have to be is student at UW. It is hella fun. www.huskywintersports.com or email me chrisd@myuw.net

i went to their clinics and meetings and stuff, some of the guys seemed cool, but some were douches, and there was way too much commitment to be teaching at snoqualmie and not get payed when i could rip at stevens w/ a 280 buck college pass

Sure. I wore my line 'i am a skier' shirt and picked up 4 other skiers, including a girl that has Kristi Leskein's Oakley stickered Scratches that she grinds that indoor rail on in 1242. They have a gouge and everything from her hitting the deck....

Anyways, UW skiers need to meet sometime, friday for lunch would work. Christine, where are you?

I'm in Guggenheim ALL day EVERY day if you ever need to find me. I'd meet up with you guys for lunch. I'm free from 11:30 to 12:30 and then again after 1:30.

hahaha, in the morning on mon, wed, fri I have three classes all right in a row ALL in the same class! Crazy! We're like our own little cult.

Whats with the hootchies?! There is an abundance of hootchie freshmen here now. You can tell the freshmen too, cause they walk around like they have a clue where they're going, but you can tell they're totally lost. But they still act all cool and smooth. Flocking around Kane hall and Mary Gates and shit like that. Fucking Odegard. I stay away from those places.

haha i saw so many girls all dressed up cute, with their hair and makeup done. yeah...i was definately scrub all the way. sweats, UW sweatshirt, hair not done in a pony tail thing, no makeup...wow...haha some senior guy i met riding the bus thought i was a 'UW veteran' but said that me looking at a map gave me away.

Rowen-yep i'm here...but i've had work and all the such too...very busy.. i have class everyday at 830. Mondays and WEd. i have English 198 in Parrington, then on tues. and thurs. i have sociology 212 in Kane...after that i have general studdies in Mary Gates till 11...then i ride the bus to Lynnwood park and ride, then i go to work, then i do homework, then i sleep. the end.

^no no, i dont work in lynnwood...i drive to lynnwood in the morning to take the bus at the park and ride. Lynnwood is one of the closest park and rides that go directly into the campus

If you re-read my post, I said I NEVER go near Odegard, cause its basically solid freshmen, haha. (not to sound all stuck up and snobby, I hate any crowd of people really).

And no, 372 doesn't go to Canyon Park, didn't realize you were up that far. It just goes to downtown Bothell (Bothell Park and Ride). It actually starts in Woodinville, then goes through Bothell, Kenmore, Lake Forest Park, Lake City, then to UW.

umm, well back to the original topic of this thread...i couldnt find the skiing club booth (err more like i didnt really look that hard for it)..but i ended up joining the snowboarding club? haha i got a free dakine sticker out of it..i dont know if UW has a freeride type club either tho, no racing for me.

I'm gonna be the old lady on this thread. I did Husky Winter Sports one quarter and it is a bit time consuming, but the partying and the chalet at Alpental were cool. Not to mention the free pass.

However, the time consumption sucked. It's much more productive to go to the UW for 5 years instead and skip lots of classes to ski around the area!!

Christine...the made up girls...they're just sorority newbies..that's part of initiation...we had to be made up everyday and whenever on the first floor of the house.
