just committed, anyone else? suuuper excited, next year is going to be amazing. if anyone is interested in rooming shoot me a pm!

Theres a 50/50 chance i will next year, uvm is sick. If i do im definitely hookin up with some newschoolers.

did anyone go to the accepted student weekend this past weekend? I saw someone in the business block with a grey lohi

make sure you guys check out the UVMFST! the teams getting better and better each year. next year should be prime! PM me or bonzai_warrior if you have any questions bout that

simple. you go to uvm. you just made the best choice of your life.

awesome school, academically speaking of course, awesome mountains. i wouldnt have skied 45 inches of powder last weekend if i went to uconn just saying.

Im not in FST, but like cferg said, heard its sick, pretty sure they have vans going to the mountain every day. do it. you know you want to.

yup vans mostly ever day...comps are paid for..we have a great coach..you can ski with us for a day if your interested and get a free voucher to stowe

Now is an excellent time to go to UVM. The campus isn't under construction for the first time in like 15 years (at least it won't be next year)and academics are on the rise (in 20 years your degree will likely look twice as good as it does today).

Plus someday you'll be in the super cool UVM alumni club with me... haha

Bumping this because I just visited today, but I already knew I was going there.

Im definitely in the Rubenstein School, anyone else?

going to uvm was probably the best decision i've made in my life. had an amazing experience, met some really cool people, skied a ton, and ended up getting a job afterwards.

congrats, have a great time!

no hate on uvm at at all but if you wanna get the most skiing time and major in ski resort/snow sport management Lyndon State is where it is at. 5 mile drive to the mountain. small school yes but it is so much fun. i love that place. we party hard and ski harder. but cant lie, when it comes to school uvm has better academics except for our MTN Rec/Ski Resort programs and Meteorology which is 2nd in the country. either way enjoy VT!

I'm Just Curious to all of you guys that got in. What are your grades like? I'm only a sophomore in HS but it's one of the number one places im looking at.

I've had mostly A's but also a bunch of B's throughout hs (not anymore haha), I think about 3.5-3.6, can't remember, but people get in with way less. I know people get in with way less. There was a kid from my school that got in with significantly less than a 3.0, maybe even less than a 2.5, can't remember.

i got into UNH, UConn, URI,and WIT (with a good scholarship). My applications to Northeastern and WPI were both late, and I did not hear back.

Didnt go to UVM but I was up at sugarbush a few weeks ago and took a trip up to burlington. The campus is super nice and burlington is fucking dope. Wish i had been able to ski more during college

For those of you coming to UVM but aren't into competing, don't feel like FST is the only option to have a great skiing experience during your time here.

There are opportunities to meet people who will be driving to all of the mountains in the area so you'll still be able to get to the mountain 3-5days a week. Just need to be a lil outgoing and throw down some gas money.

do you have to be really good to get on freestyle team? think if I was good enough in two years (i'm a sophmore in hs) that would be dope

Can't really answer that for you. Some one on the team would have a better idea about the skill level required to make the team.

I know that to have a shit ton of fun at Sugarbush all you need is $300.

you can be any level of ability to be on FST. they pay for all your comp fees, and you get a stowe pass, coaching, tramps, water ramps, and more. its like 550 but definitely worth it. I totally recommened during the team if you ski. And the parties are legit. also if your on the team upperclassmen have houses and sometimes throw down. get to know us!

cfergs got some legit answers. Im an officer on FST and its all about you wanting to progress your skiing while also having an awesome time shredding with a dope group of kids. Stowe pass is included in team dues, along with the other things mentioned by cferg that make your ski experience dope.

jah know! we're tryna get even more too, like traveling as a team during summer to train. if your at UVM you better join!

UVM is a chill spot for sure, lot of cool kids, easy to meet people, and yea UVMFST is also dope and on the rise, i joined this past season and had no regrets, not big into the comps or USASA but all the kids on the team are chill and its a fun crew to lap with, def made the right choice coming here, pm me with any questions!

I think I'm going to do FST.

Is it all Stowe all the time, or will I have a chance to ski other areas with the Triple Major pass?

My family has a house on the practice slope of mad river glen so I would be down for some MRG/ bush weekend overnights next year if we could get a ride up.

Jay, Bolton, Mad River

I am personally a Bush fan. Skied Stowe freshman year, wasn't feeling the vibe so I got a Bush pass last year and haven't looked back. Check out all your options, there is a good group of people that ski at every mountain.

stowe pass comes with the fees but i also got a bush pass this year to lap their park. college mt. ellen pass is only 200 which isnt a bad second option.

UVM=best decision I have ever made. Going into junior year and I'm already not looking forward to graduation.

I just got done with my orientation and found out there's not triple major this year. I'm not stoked. It does look like stowe, jay, smuggs, and sugarbush still have some good deals.

hmmmmm i havent heard anything about no triple major, but I'll ask around. Stowe and bush are defintley the best park oriented mountain. trying to work out a deal with bush for fst...
