UVM Vs. BOULDER

i goto boulder and if i was a freshman again it would be fun all over again. but like someone has mentioned tons of poser riders (i had to cut people out of the car on designated park days), lots of kids who wanna be hard come out (mostly east coast faggots, trying to bring their southie spirit), and in general it has lots of its old time flair. It was fun for a few months, but honestly the invasion of east coast kids made this place gayer than giving rim jobs. It's still a dope town, but when i was going up it was much sicker.

Go where you want. Boulder for the skiing....the other place for girls (there are some hot girls here, but honestly most need some work. they're fit, just busted). The education here is fine, I don't know who complained about that. Some classes are too large, but those classes are typically bull shit classes.
 
sorry. well i wouldnt have that problem because i am paying for the majority of my college, and will be in debt out my ass when i graduate. but even if they are paying they should at least let you apply where you want, and reufse to let you because they hear rumors about partying. and if there is partying its not like your forced into it, you can do what you want.
 
UVM has the best EC skiing, beautiful town. all of the skiing is super close. and EVERYONE is so nice and just really happy to be living and going to school up there.

my friend goes to CU, which he says is about equidistant from the mtns, and if you want to ski anything but only park and groomers or hike for the decent snow, not your choice.

has anyone mentioned lewis and clark? one of my friends is going there and says hood is 30 minutes away, and the mtns in WA are only an hour away, and its right outside Portland which i HEAR, dont know, is like Boston+ burlington

im from PA and right now UVM is my top choice. i have visited both schools and towns. they are soo similar its wierd haha (with the exception of size). here is what i based my decision off of. uvm's skiing is much closer than cu's. they have sick deals with stowe. ill be a lot closer to family and friends on the east coast. but i mean how bad can deciding between uvm and cu be?
 
As long as we're on the college topic, im a junior with an 84 GPA, a 1260 SAT (took it once, i think that makes some kind of difference, not sure), ive got good letters of reccomendation, a good essay, and good extra-curriculars. i took sat subject tests in global, US, and english, dont know how i did yet, but i suspect i did pretty well.

Everything ive heard about uvm is that it can be difficult to get into, and my gpa is a fair few points below what they want, even though everything else is as good or better. My question is this-it cost money to apply, and im wondering if applying would just be a waste, because i have to pay with my own cash, which is a little limited. Could someone who got into UVM tell me if im wasting my time and possibly my money trying to get in?
 
its much, MUCH easier to get in if you apply early action. i got in and my friend didnt with better gpa and sat scores than me, you'll also know by mid december
 
I live in Vermont about a half hour from UVM, and well Vermont is such a sick place if you like to be outdoors, and burlington is the coolest place ever. I also hear that Vermonters are really nice, but what do I know. Also the chicks are fucking amazing here.
