UVM Roomate

go random. you're better off. get to meet more people besides skis bums that drink pabst. You'll meet all the ski bums anyway so take this as an opportunity o get acquainted with a different group of people.
 
nahhhh better off finding someone. if u go random u could end up with a loser, and are more likely too. I had a shitty ass random roommate and ended up switching second semester. find a skier who drinks pbr and partys hard. watch out for the final boss tails...
 
i personally say go with a random roommate, but that was because i was super lucky. id say its 50/50 that some of my friends are still living with or are good friends with their freshman roommate (and i just graduated UVM) or no longer talk to them and have not talked to them since the end of freshman year.
your call, wait till after orientation and if you meet someone cool there, then go with them, but dont be afraid to have a random roommate.
