Uvm or saint michaels

please go to uvm. Some of us should have applied undecided instead of applying to the nursing school so they would have gotten accepted, instead of deferred for four months after throwing their lives towards the school. That's just my take on it though
 
NONONONO dude you took it WAY out of context, what i mean is that there are a lot of pompus hippies who think they are better than everyone else at the other local places (champlain mostly) just because UVM is a bigger school and a little harder to get into, i meant no offense at all.
 
haha oh sorry man, my bad. i realy liked the looks of the school but i can handle saint michaels tuition and im not sure about uvm. i was just wondering what are some of the benifits of both schools. as far as im conserned they are both in burlington and in vermont so im gonna be stoked either way.
 
St Mikes if you want a small school, UVM if you want a big school. It's your decision man, but I say UVM if you aren't sure about size - more people means your more apt to enjoy yourself if you aren't too picky.
 
i'm not sure what you are talking about, but everyone that i know from champlain, is the most down to earth, easygoing person alive.
 
its not even really public though. It costs a tonnnn to go if you are out of state. It is around $25,000 a year out of state, way more than most state schools
 
St. Mikes, go there because I do and I met you once at Holiday....

I like it better than UVM. Its actually very well kept, nice location, free pass to smuggs, awesome wilderness opportunities. Classes are smaller, which I like a lot. Makes it seem like your profs actually care. Its just outside of Burlington so you're not right in the middle of everything, but its not hard to get there either. Right now they're working on making buses free for us, so that should be sick when it happens. The ski and snowboard club here is sick as well. They will pay for you to go compete and ski all over the northeast, as well as put on rail jams on campus and get you deals on passes in the area. If you want anymore info, let me know.
 
UVM, i visited saint micheals and UVM couple months ago, micheals seemed so boring and slow, UVM was bustling and busy, and i liked that. And it didnt help that the nicest building at st. micheals was the church...
 
hmm...I kind of feel like the church is the uglier of the buildings. I personally like the slower feeling. I can always go downtown easily to do stuff, but have a nice relaxing place to go back to at the end of the day. Thats probably just because I grew up in a small town and don't really like cities.

And to the kid who said theres no parties, living on north campus is like one huge year long party. Its actually pretty crazy here on weekends...though not so much now because nobody wants to go out in the cold at night.
 
prematurly clicked, i live in st. paul mn and im used to busy, and i like it. I guess it comes down to what you like personally....which i guess is what it always comes down to
 
Fogel claimed it to be a few years back, which is why people think that now. I've said it before in a facetious manner.
 
answer me this gaylord, why is it uvm, when it is only university of vermont. you cant put a letter in there if it doesnt stand for anything
 
uvm hands down. its bigger, and i have a good friend who goes to st mikes and is looking to transfer, she doesnt like it.
 
well i went for a tour of uvm last week, and the first thing i said was "if i can't find someone here that will like me, then i know im a loser."

as much as i hate others, i also like people, especially girls. coming from a pretty big high school and loving it, UVM felt pretty nice to me.
 
UVM if you want to have fun! it's pretty much the shit, i go and i love it!

but if you can't get in you can always go to camp champ (Champlain College, a block down the hill)
 
UVM is latin, it stands for Universitas Viridis Montis (University of the Green Mountains aka University of Vermont)
 
UNH is in the middle of no where which kinda of sucks, with uvm the city is right there burhch street is a 10 min walk and you have like 6 mountians within an hours drive, and there's so much to do up here.
 
^why is it latin and not french? what did the latin speakign or writing people have to do with vermont?
 
Ira Allen decided Latin in 1971, probably to, as said above, promote a type of Ivy league persona, Universitatis Viridimontanae is the true name though.
