i got in and i'm probably going to go there.
 
i'm giong to apply next year cuz i'm only a junior. I have a 3.4 GPA and some good extracuriculars (i'll be working at an organic farm) and i'm applying for agriculture schoool, think i'll get in?
 
no idea. but i'm 90ish out of 330 in my class. also i take mostly ap classes. sat. 1700ish. act-haven't gotten the score back yet. extra curic. ski-18 hours a week, piano 15 hours a week, volunteer camp to belong maine, lifegaurd, summer camp consleur, 
 
Im not sure, but i dont think its much surprise you got in. I hear its not that hard to get accepted. (not downtalking the school, just sayin)
 
i applied but prob wont go if i get in cause its like 39k out of state plus room and board and shit sooo wayyyyy too expensive for mee
 
i hate to tell you guys but uvm was a million times cooler when i started there. i am a senior now and it has blown up with mad rich kids from nj who wear popped collars and talk about getting some while they drink natty ice. when i came here there were way less kids and no shitty construction, now there is a ton of lame ass new buildings (davis center and u heights) and the administration is expelling kids when they catch them with weed. UVM is going downhill and if you can afford it go somewhere else. I think the class of 08 (my class) is the last to get the old school, unique uvm experience, now its just a diploma mill like all the southern state colleges

but i got...1700 at best on my sats, b+ average and i got in no prob. if your worried about getting in apply to the arts and sciences school and transfer over before school starts. 
 
PSU is basically the same as UNM but alittle smaller and shredding is way closer. its like a little burlington i wanna go there its my first choice, you can prob get in here if you just missed gettin into UVM too
 
i kinda agree with you UVM, is lossing it's true vermont quirks and charm. they are trying to be a public IVY. but besides that it IS a good school and a kick ass area to live in
 
I'm only a junior and going to apply next year. I have a 3.5 but it is rising because I just got a 4.0. I also got a 1330 out of 1600 on the Sat's. I'm going there for recreational management. Am I going to get in?

Oh yea, I also play lacrosse and have alot of community serivce and such.
 
i didnt even have a GPA my school didnt have grades... i got 1600 on the sat out of 2400. Im just taking 2 classes for next semester. I'll decide if i wana actually go here next year or school out west

but ya burlingtons chill, lots of bitties, everythings a 2 minute drive, the city is one big jibpark if you know where to go. monday i skied stowe all day , drank some beers and sessioned at burton, hit 2 other spots then called it a night

im not into the outdoor headdyyy brah nugs tho , all these wana be hippies trying to rip you off with their leafy goodness

Not with the writing.

I have a 1770 on the SAT's. my gpa is 3.82, i am in the top decile of 250 kids. I applied. I hope I get in.
 
jeff you'll obviously fucking get in.... half the kids here just blow yay and drink shitty vodka 90% of the time and then 10% do work
 
I could see how Vermont would be appealing to people not from here, but living here my whole life I can't wait to get out. I'm moving west as soon as I can.
 
I've been accepted at UVM and McGIll so far. McGill is my first choice though. Tons of urban in montreal, jay peak and tremblant are both pretty close.
 
yea, but mcgill sucks cuz once you get past freshman year you have to find an apartment in montreal which is really fucking hard, and often you have to walk over 20 minutes to class every day. also montreal is always grey and raining. oh and booze is mad expensive

 
anyone here in the honors college? i really like the campus,the area, etc, but i'm not sure about the school itself.

yeah burlington is a pretty chill town lots to keep u occupied and uvm isnt too hard to get into
 
accepted, but unsure whether to go there or champlain or st. mikes.

i still have to visit the latter two before i make my decision
 
uvm is a better school academically if that has an influence. it is a shitload bigger though. goodluck with a decision though
 
kinda funny that i just stumbled upon this post....i got accepted way earlier this year then got into northeastern acouple weeks later, decided that i wanted to goto NE, didnt put any money down but it was pretty much a done deal. acouple months passed went skiing this weekend and decided fuck it, this is what i want to do in my free time the next 4 years and uvm is the place ill b able to do it. I just told my mom like an hour ago and she thinks im crazy. but ya the reason why I and alot of other kids made a decision to go the uvm is becasue we are jsut trying to live relaxed, ski, learn alittle and do some crazy shit in the mountains. Its interesting that a guy above me is sayin uvm is getting commercialized. Kinda makes me think that what im looking for is no longer there? or will it just be alittle harder for us next year to find the right kids to get down with? sorry if this is alittle ramblish, if anyone who goes to uvm can just put in their 2 cents im sure more than a few kids would appreciate it
 
from what i have heard/seen itsa chill school. but now they are trying to go all ivy league sort of what im hearing, for example most expensive state school in the country 40k outa state and still pretty redic in state, and its a dry campus now has been for a little while, and defiantly alot more people have been trying to go there in past few years.
 
yeah im in HCOL and its a sucking joke. Sure you get dope dorms for your first year but all the kids that live there are pussys and the class/seminar that they make you take is super dumb. the FST is fucking sick though and you all should think about coming, unless your from connecticut, jersey or anywhere farther south, we dont want pricks
 
ruh roh, i'm from outside of DC. ahahaha.

i'm going though. Such a good feeling to get this all over with.
