Utah sucks,

colorado is much cooler, has better snow, about ten times more mountains and areas to ski, and they have much better bud and the micro-brews in colorado kick ass
 
those were just mormons that were trying to convert you to their cult. you're lucky you made it out in 5 hrs, very lucky

the skiing in utah is heinous and the desert is a barren, lifeless wasteland. you better stay out for sure.
 
just to bug DBrinto, how many people know about the mountain meadows massacre?

for those that dont know it was when the mormon church wanted to create its own nation around utah and idaho. so brigham young said that no american pilgrams were allowed to travel through utah on their way west. but lacking any modern communication pilgrams already on the move didnt hear about it. so when a group of 120 pilgrams traveled into the state accidently on their way west, a local mormon town decided to act upon it. they sent a letter to ask brigham young what to do, but it being 1857 it took awhile for shit to get to salt lake city and back, and the local mormons had to make a decision. so they did what any sound thinking person would do, they hired indians to kill the pilgrams for them. when that failed due to the defenses of the pilgrams a group of mormons came into the wagon train an encouraged the people to come to their town in order to resupply and have better protection against the indians. so when the pilgrams lowered their defenses and began traveling towards the town, the mormons attacked. the estimites of dead are from 120-230 men, women and children. only 17 children were spared because they were younger than six years old, so they couldnt remember what happened. later, when US troops came to the town to reclaim the 17 children and put them with their rightful families they found that the children had been adopted into polygomist families. there were reports of children pointing to their adopted parents and saying "those people made me watch them kill mommy".

in the defense of the mormon church, when brigham young's letter was sent back it said to let the wagon train continue, but never the less the town acted upon what their religious leaders told them to do. and the mormon church has yet to apologize for the situation. ill post some other mormon bashing later, but im sleepy right now
 
and if you want to call me a bigot, go right ahead, i really dont aprove of the foundations upon which the mormon church was built. i may agree with some of their modern teachings (ie close family bonds) but the radicalism of some mormons totally reminds me of islamic fanatics.

and im not just coming up with this out of my ass, i do know mormons personally
 
i got unlucky.when i went to utah in the middle of february, 2005, it was warm and there was no light fluffy powder snow that i wanted. and only moguls in bounds for 6 days at alta, canyons, and pc. the parks and groomers were amzing, but i didnt get the powder i wanted. i found some untracked out of bonds but it wasnt deep and wasnt light and fluffy.

im probably goin to utah this year. i hope i get better luck

If you really knew any Mormons, you would have already pointed out the fact that they all have horns on their heads - Anyone that knows the Mormons knows that! That being said... ALL LOSERS, PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM UTAH. You won't like it here. The snow is too perfect, the chicks are too hot, and it is way too convenient to have world class mountain environments so close to major cities. NO LOSERS!!!

When there's no facts, bigots like you can make up stories that it was all the Mormons fault. Funny how you forgot to mention that thousands of Mormons were killed and driven from their homes only a couple of decades earlier.
 
sorry im not into living in a state that's a desert, has shitty beer, and is ruled by a religion that i dont agree with. so while your chilling in utah skiing some epic pow, ill be in california, surfing in the summer, skiing in the winter, and hanging out with people that share my attitude

why im not dissin utah, why else would i live there if i didnt like it. im just sayin if your goin to try to compare utah to california. cali wins and im lookin way beyond skiing

yeah utah sucks, so nobody else come here. i hate people taking my powpow...

so yeah people go to CU so you can wake up at 5 on a pow day skip class, and drive for 2 hours to a flat as shit mountain that is vail. then after all the tourists have taken your freshies, have fun sitting in trafic for 3 hours trying to get back to boulder. that is much better. i'll be here in shitty utah waking up at 8 and will be getting first tram at the bird on a 3 foot day, yeah it sucks ass here.
 
yea utah is pretty gay. id much rather hang out with people that do more drinking and smoking weed than skiing. and id much rather go to college in boulder because there are so many resorts that are SOO close to where i go to school, mary jane has the sickest moguls in the world and its only 1 hour from cu bolder. and they get AT LEAST 300 inches of snow per year fuck yea.
 
hey we have alright skiin so this hatin does need to stop but in terms of all states id say we have the best avg park my 2cents but fihting oer who has what is lame look what not skiin is doin to us hEYYYYYYYYYYYYooooooooooooooo
 
dude i cant agree with you more. 59 days trapped in utah FUCK THIS PLACE . i hate mormons. the only good spot is PC otherwise its the gayest state in america
