im heading to utah for spring break which is feb 28- march 5 or 7

either way does anyone have any suggestions for the cheapest and most efficient way stay, fly, and ski there. We have minimal funds and plan on wanting to ski snowbird, alta, solitude and possibly some other areas. Does anyone know of any package deals, or any other cheap ways??

check sidestep.com for airfare. i just looked earlier today for that same time and found airfare from newark, nj (i live in philly) to slc for well under $300 roundtrip. rental car is what's gonna kill you. if there' a storm, often times you need either a 4wd vehicle or chains to legally be on the roads to get to alta, snowbird, etc, so either rent an SUV/subaru or bring some chains with you.

every lodge in alta has "dorm" style rooms for the cheap ski bums. they usually run like 100-150 bucks a night including dinner and possibly breakfast depending on where you stay.

I did this exact same trip last year, second week of january. We booked cheap flights out of DC with either travelocity or expedia or one of those cheap sites. We also got the hotel included from one of those sites, it was a super 8 or best western or something like that, in sandy, which is just a part of salt lake city. We got the bus each morning up the canyon, like a 30-40 min ride but just slept the whole way. The bus system is very good and free when you buy the lift ticket card that gets you a slightly cheaper ticket depending on how many days you want to ski. We got four days on the card, and chose to do alta twice, snowbird, and solitude. You could also have done brighton. all you do is show the card at the ticket window each day and you get a ticket at one of those four resorts, and swipe the card on the bus and the ride is free, up and down either canyon, and around town too i believe but we always had some beer at the resort before leaving then stayed near our hotel. This worked really well and was fairly cheap, could have been cheaper had we not eaten out and bought beer etc on the mountain each day. if you have questions or want help pm me ill be glad to help out. it was a great trip and very affordable, no complaints.

southwest.com, click "shortcut to lowest fares" on the side and if you have flexible dates you can usually buy 2 separate one ways for $99 each if you plan ahead
