im thinking about going to college in utah. i know that there are a shit ton of mormons out there but is there still a solid university life, partys, fun things to do out there. i know the skiings there but are the mormons a real downer or not?
 
no they really arent especially at university of utah and that 3.2 is bullshit if you go toa liquor store the beer is regular. I have alot of friends who go there and party and none of them get affected by mormons. usually the kids arent douches its those adults. The kids just keep their beliefs to themselves
 
why does it matter if there are mormons. they are chill people and much like the rest of us and wont bother you if you dont bother them, and i would definately live in utah, even if i didnt like mormons, which is proposterous, cuz they have multiple wives. if you dont like them, your a racist
 
mormons dont have more than one wife. Those are pyligamists. The church kicked those people out a long time ago. Now they are fundamentalist. But mormons are like any other minority religion. Do jews or buddhists really bother u too?
 
im considering u of u, but its a commuter campus which i dont think would be that good. so now i am lookin at co school of mines and univ of CO at boulder
 
let me clear things up. i am not afraid of meeting a mormom person. i do not hate mormons. i am just wondering what its like being in a community with heavy mormon influences.
 
true in one part... you can go buy beer that is regular but its not regular prices... its like 18 buck for a 6 pack? WTF... and social life compared to others colleges sucks ass... i was at Oregon State universtiy and its in the shitty of shitty towns and the social life puts utahs social life to shame... but the skiin is fuckini legit and ull love it when it skis... but dont come expectin to party unless you join a frat and still the frat life is very very small... sooo yeah... and when u say the mormon kids dont effect you thats a lie... mormon no matter how old they are are annoying peices of shit who believe in having more than one wife and are fucking all dumb and i hate them with a deep deep passion... sooo yeah utah is sick for the skiing and the skiing only...
 
the u is fucking sick. if you want to party theres always partys. i party like 4 nights a week and no hte mormons dont get in the way. theyre just prude
 
I lived in a community surrounded by mormons for 18 years. It's not that bad, but then I moved to colorado and I realize now that Utah sucked balls except for the snow. So it's really up to you.
 
i lived there for 2 years and all i can say is UTAH SUCKS!!! yeah you can go to a liquor store, but its hella expensive, not open late, and not open on sundays. go to college at university of BC or University of nevada at reno or boulder, those would all be better
 
I was confronted by Mormons the other day. They were all like "god loves me and exists blah blah blah" and I was like "I don't worship anything thats not a sloth" Then I told them to take the 2nd M out of the word "Mormon" next time they write it down.

mormons are the furthest thing from a normal religion. They are a fucking cult, no question about it. You have to pay to be in the church. "DUMB DUMB DUMB DUMB"
 
Yep. Utah sucks. Don't come here. You will only find suck. The rest of you that say that Utah sucks, you are right. You should probably go somewhere else that doesn't suck.
 
and their is no thursty thirsday here.... AH... i drink on a thursday and people are like... what the hell, why do you want to party on a thursday and im like please for the love of god let it snow so i can go skiing and get my mind off this wrenched place... but i love skiing so utah is cool... kinda..
 
i'm a senior in high school right now but i party with guys i know that go to the University of Utah all the time.. there's tons of way fuckin chill people.. tons of parties, all that stuff, most mormons are pretty chill, even the ones that are tight-wods (its not just mormons, just the really religous peeps) but dont worry about it, its a way chill place to be, i applied and am going there in the fall and spring semesters next year..
 
Yeah for sure. Utah is full of suck. Go anywhere that is not so full of suck.

Don't come to utah, leave the snow for us.
