Seriously, i have been nothing but absolutely miserable since i got here? have they not heard of lakes and rivers? trees? parks? anything? there is NOTHING to do in this town in the offseason except sit inside (seeing as it's too hot to be outside and there's no cool water outside). if you have any tips on how to make this city somewhat worth living in, let me know, because i'm about to go crazy.

you should pack up and leave so there is more room for us to enjoy our mountasins, lakes and streams and forests full of trees and parks.

Take up mountain biking or rock climbing, heard they've got some sick biking and some decent climbing round there. At least until the snow comes back anyway.

you could try going into the mountains, lots of trees and high alpine lakes..though you do have to hike a little, but at least it gets you closer to brigham young up in heaven...oh and there are rivers around just outside of salt lake a bit.

the heat is horrible. that's why i migrate into the mountains as much as possible. plus, all the good lakes are up there anyway.

the tempurature is gonna drop 20degrees average this week, booya fall is here. Anyway Lisa what does Idaho have specifically that Utah does not?

We pay our debt sometimes.

get a skateboard. theres tons of cement parks around, or get a longboard and cruise hills all day.

first of all, i'm not mormon. secondly this is why everyone hates mormons (everyone who isn't mormon) because you drop fuckin comments like that all the time and it's stupid. i dont talk about jesus all the time so SHUT THE FUCK UP! uhm, idaho has everyhthing, like a river 5 minutes from my house, a lake 15 from my house, mccall is an hour away, there's REAL rocks to climb, like actual canyons (blacks), there's camping, there's people who actually do shit and dont just sit around all the time. THATS what idaho has, obviously you guys have never been there.

^idaho? i thought you were gonna say somewhere chill as fuck, im from vegas and jersey, and i understand where your comming from with hating this place but it will come around and you will like it, it just takes time. theres a lot of douches around here but you will find your own group of normal people.

ive got another version of the pole dangle, its pretty funny too, gets cold when i do it on the lift tho.

i wouldn't really take iluvbyu too seriously. he needs a disclaimer under his posts that says 'been posting bullshit since 9-11-04'

go back to idaho- Utah is the sickest place in the world for biking, climbing, camping, hiking, etc- and thats a hell of a bad attitude, no wonder your not having any fun.

Take up mountain biking and longboarding. Between the two of those I keep myself pretty entertained in the off-season.

^ for sure i think that to, but i guess slc seems like a pretty dirty city with shit to do if your from a place like that, comming from vegas and jersey this place has more to do than i could ever imagine.

haha, i like that idea about the disclaimer, its a good one, but it was funny that someone got that upset about my comment....

well, this is utah, where to the outside world 99 percent of the state is mormon. and the only thing they know about utah is from watching slc punk. but no, there is alot of stuff to do around here, you just have to get out of the basement and do it. i spent the first 3 months that i lived in utah skiing and in the basement. that's it. then i got a life and started doing stuff and it's an awesome place.

are you blind by chance?

take a fucking look around you are surrounded by some of the most intensly gorgeous terrain in the world!!! there is a shitload to do here i pitty anybody who lives in utah and cannot find a way to enjoy being outside!

biking , hiking , camping , fishing , swimming , canoeing , kayaking , rock climbing , photography!

into the mountains and watch the sun rise or set!

the reason you cannot find people who arent sitting on there ass doing nothing is because they are all out doing something in the mountains !!

utah is far superior to any place i have ever been!

if you do not realize the immense opportunity to enjoy the surrounding area you mus be fucking blind as said above !

with gas prices so expensive and mexicans so cheap i think i am going to start riding a mexican to work!

Not to be an asshole, but thats kinda what you get for moving to the West side. Go hike up to Lake Mary, or go climb up in Fergusons Canyon. Just get out of that god forsaken city your in..... Shit what is 1700 and Redwood, Kearns?

Check Out Surface Skis!

idaho and utah are both AWESOME for completely different reasons. if you hate where you are, maybe instead of bitching to everyone else about it, find reasons to love it or leave it. theres amazing climbing, bouldering, gorgeous lakes and pretty much everything cool in the wasatch - also known as the mountain range right out the front door, its like less than a 30 minute drive.... personally im thinking its a lot more exciting than the foothills/boise river being 5 minutes away but maybe its just me... although, i havent gone caving or bridge jumping here yet, anyone know of good spots for either?

ya youre just dumb. Utah has some of the best mtn biking and rock climbing in north america. There are all kinds of alpine lakes, and the hiking up there is incredible. You wonder why you dont see many lakes and rivers around where you live....it could have something to do with the fact that you moved to a fucking desert christ.

DECENT CLIMBING?!?!?! There is some of the best climbing in the country (single pitch and bouldering) and as for it being too hot out with no water stfu and just carry a water bottle like everyone else

God is a comedian playing to an audience too afraid to laugh.

-Voltaire

Nah, Utah's climbing doesnt compare to its skiing as far as quality goes. I'd go so far as to say the single pitch climbing is better in TN than UT (excluding the MOAB area of course).

utah is sick. you just complain a lot about everything. your kinda negative. made think happy thoughts.

Except bitch about how summer is lasting too long and winter won't come soon enough!

utah sucks balls, quit comlaing and get the crap out. Thats why everyone else moved because there is nothing to do here. Just a big huge pile of crap. GO HOME and stay out.

I have plenty to do personally, but at the moment school and work are enough to keep me occupied. And atving and drinking and climbing on the weekends. I'd say 5-6 weeks till preseason hiking starts, im so stoked

We pay our debt sometimes.

Yeah I have been biking 3 or 4 times a week all summer and still havent run out of new places to mountain bike. Stop being such a gigantic whiny bitch.
