Utah Ski Bus?

So im gonna be in SLC for school this winter and im wondering how the ski bus is? i know there is alot of traffic in the LCC, but does the bus take longer or less time than driving or does it make a difference?
 
If you go tothe U the bus comes at 830 and stops in front of the HC. Its a bit of a pain getting home if you miss the last bus at 5 i think. But if you dont have a car its the best way to get to the mountain. Its also recomended to find a ride with your friends on a pow day because the buses fill up fast and you will have to resort to hitch hiking if you want to get down the canyon.
 
yeah im going to the u and im driving my truck down there, but i was hoping i could save some gas money by takign the bus, im broke after new skis and a pass to the bird haha
