Utah or Heliskiing?

So im heading out to Utah this January and ive been doing some research and my father and I could go for a day of heli skiing for about 1500 dollars. Ive been bugging him alot about it and he gave me a choice. We can either go heli skiing or make another trip out from Boston to Utah for another week of skiing in Febuary. What do you guys think i should do?

Why do one day of heli in utah for $1,500 when you could go to Valdez Heli Camps in Alaska for three days for 1,000?

if you have to book ahead of time then that might be harder, but if you can decide while your there then that would be sweet. then you can determine if the snow is good, etc..

I would rather take 2 trips, because i like traveling and whatnot but thats just me.

this is a no brainer...take the extra week for sure....Wasatch Powderbird Guides are lame and will take you somewhere that you could hike to in a hour.www.helifreewasatch.com

if you want to go to colorado for your second trip, or first, and do some cat skiing, check out this place.

www.csirwin.com

looks realllllly reallly really fun and pampered

It isn't, Valdez sent me dozens of ad emails about it over the summer. I imagine there is some catch but I have yet to find it. If I hear good feedback about this deal I might go for it myself

ya thats sick but its a 25000 verticle punch cardd i looked it up on the website so u get 25,000 verticle and then your done. im not sure how long that would last you but this is still a sick deal

I'm not sure how far that would get you either. They say you can "upgrade" it for more vert but idk. I really want to talk to someone who has done it to know if it's good or if it's a bust. If this is a legit package then my bank account might take a hit.

I would look into cat skiing. I have no idea, but I would imagine for the cost of a day of heli skiing you could get at least a couple days of cat skiing.

ya i would agree, go to utah do a couple days of cat skiing for the same price, not quite as epic, but def some sick ass skiing

i believe powder mountain in utah has cat skiing for relatively cheap. check into that perhaps and take two trips maybe

ya im looking into this know becasue its cheeper and its 3 days but only 25,00 veticle if you can upgrade to 50,000 for relativly cheep that would be perfect

In the bc here If I had a chopper I could ski 25k in about 4 hrs or less. I doa 5k lap here that 5 up and 5 down in about 3.5 - 4 hrs on my skins.

They probably make you pay more after you wrap it up and they have like a jet ranger that holds like 10 people.

For $1,500 I recommend you take the 2nd trip. Try to convince him to let you cat ski for a day for sure.
You could practically fly to NZ and heli for a day there for $1,500. The resorts may not be Utah, but the trip will be legendary.
