Utah capital building hand rail

moved down to SLC a few weeks ago and was out on election night at the state capital looking for for some maga chuds to pester, and can upon perhaps the longest urban rail I have ever seen. There are some gaps that you would have to hop but I was curious if any boarders or skiers have tried to hit it. I’ll attach a photo, this bitch is long.

If I try to hit it will I catch a felony or something?

If I’m correct I think the guys at Vishnu hit that rail in the deep end. Not 100 percent sure but I think that’s the one.

ALLEGEDLY, Luke Roberts hit both the double wide DFD on the steps there as well as the end of the rail you posted, then gapped into the flat down section and into the road in The Deep End two seasons ago. It went much more smoothly than I anticipated, though its worth noting that he slid the DFD first try (literally) and then did the other rail in about five tries so we were only there about 20 minutes total. He is also a freakishly good skier, to be fair.

I'd say go after midnight on a weekend, park away from the capitol and walk there, and bring people to help build it quickly and quietly. We used a bungee for stealth mode (winch = loud) I'd say you have about 30 minutes before security will come act like tough guys. OR it's possible that because of Covid security is much more lax so you may have a little longer even.

good luck! I believe in you

Capitol is pretty high bust, theres a gnarly long dub kink too ppl have hit/tried to hit but maybe on a snowstorm night you might get away with it.

also, I have been doing street skiing activities for over a decade and have never even gotten close to catching a charge or even a warning ticket, just be polite and cooperative and you'll be fine.

Woah woah woah, you're telling me you don't immediately yell at the cops, "I ain't doing shit man! Why are you getting all up in my grill like that???" when they walk up on you?

Usually cops have better things to do than talk to a bunch of stoned dirty skier bros, the only time I’ve had actual conflict is with random passerby that can’t mind their own business. The worst.
