Using no bindings?

It should provide the ultimate closeness to your ski. The most responsive binding in the world is no binding. Don't let anyone else tell you what you can't do OP, you're a skiing pioneer. Do it for those of us who are to afraid to be innovators, be our shining beacon in these dark times.

bindings are like condoms... sure, they're helpful sometimes, but when you want true pleasure, go raw, don't use bindings

i did that one year, got the ultimate response from my skis. if if were you id rip those fks off, throw them in the trash and gorilla glue your feet to those skis

Telemark is too easy it's played. Freeheel and Freetoe are what all the core skiers are doing now

You want ultimate closeness? You have to get skis grafted onto your feet. Anything else is ultracasual-tier.

The added control will make you a better skier and make you feel a spiritual connection to your skis.

i love this idea. mount boots instead of bindings. dins are for lamos. cut out the middle man and start the revolution. only pitfall I forsee is riding in the ganjala. Just dont be a puss and ski with slippers.

So many people have been doing this lately! Some company should just make skis that have boots sticking out of them. That way, you wouldn't have to go through the hassle of drilling your boots to you skis.

Also, these would never break! if the boots broke off, they would just become normal boots and skis... just like how an escalator can never break, it just becomes stairs

Op you'll save on weight and stack height. Get the right screws and the energy transfer is way better than any binding. Ski companies are not going to want you to know but ask around a bit and you'll find a template that you can print out with the screw hole pattern for mounting your boots directly to your skis.

jesus christ, thank you all for the info. i feel like an idiot now for just pouring epoxy between my boots and bindings to lock em out...but hey ya live and ya learn
