Using carpet...

I want to use indoor/outdoor carpeting instead of turf so my setup isn't quite as bright. I was wondering if shag carpet or a carpet that has really short bristly-things would be faster.

not sure what you mean by bright, but astro-turf comes in different colours. I have black carpet because that is all they had at the time. In terms of actual indoor carpet, I would stay away. The shorter stuff would be better but it is a lot slower (as in barely usable slow) and since it isn't exactly plastic, it holds water for longer, it is always wet and can start to smell/ get mold/ bacteria growing on it.

Turf is the best hands down. I've tried using all kinds of carpeting, but plastic is superior.
