Use of the word "gay"

searously people, are we 12 or what? well actually i think most people on here are, but thats besides the point. you guys really need to find a new word to describe something you dont like because "gay" is way overused, especially in the video section. i'm not offended by the word, and no i'm not a fag its just that i can't even read the comments from a video w/o reading the word "gay", or words "fucking gay" atleast 5 times, especaily if its not a great video, then its about 15. c'mon i know some of us might not be real smart, but i have confidence that we can come up with something better than "gay"

yeah i stopped saying it last summer. i had an incident saying it to my friend when my mom had her friends friend who is gay.
 
i totaly agree it was thrown around way to much but i found now well where i live its all bout the EMO Kids if you dont anything diffrent that ppl dont agree with you are autpmaticly concidered emo
 
we all know its stupid, but we all say it. its like smoking, its going to be hard to break that habbit.
 
Emo is the new gay, or at least that's what I've observed lately here. Most people just don't have a vocabulary with the capacity to express feelings beyond their homosexual tendencies so they speak what's on their mind, which usually involves the word "gay." But seriously, the kids that do it are the ones that spend too much time in front of the computer and not enough time learning useful words that do it. If I come across the word "gay" in the wrong context I just dismiss that person as intellectualy inferior and I don't read the rest of their post. After all, if they can't use words appropriate to their age (not IQ, I expect more), how can I expect them to make a valid point?
 
haha ya after being at Emerson College which has a huge gay population (not to mention the ~68% female population....UNSSSSS--do the math people, lots of gheys and lots of chicas=good news for me and the 10 straight dudes here...wow this is a rediculous use of parenthesis but I dont care) the word "gay" has much more gravity to me. Use it so little these days but occasionally it happens.
 
sometimes gay is the only word that I can think of when something is fuckin lame, well I could use fuckin lame but gay is shorter, I see it as a shorter"fucking lame" you know? but talkin shit on vids is lame unless it really is some stupid shit, like that wall mart rap thing that someone posted or whatever. That was fuckin gay. but if its someone skiing, give them props or shut the fuck up and dont post.
 
everybody says we should stop using the word gay its so inapropriot blah blah blah. But it never happens. Its a slang word that will continue to get used just like cool.
 
^which is very unfortunate. The stereotyping that occurs in today's society is unacceptable. Everybody has feelings, and those feelings should be respected. I find it terrible that people are so cruel. people are people, no matter what they believe, and even if somebody is gay, you shoudl treat them with respect
 
if a video is gay, its homosexual, and not straight or heterosexual. those videos suck.

i just say lame, because gay is offensive to some people (not me) and just a stupid word
 
haha oh my god how many times have i heard this. I'm sick of people saying 'its so offensive!'

Well, if you think so. I'm sorry. I will try my hardest to not use it around you. KAY?
