hahaha

but seriously, we're the one remaining superpower left in the world..and the only thing you offer the rest of the world is maple syrup

is a potential super power..they aren't quite on par with the US but in a decade or so who knows what will happen

but then again theres always the arguement that there are no more super powers after the cold war ended

US, a superpower in the world, come on. IMO US is not a superpower in the world. Their financial crisis put millions out of work and out on the street, that does not sound like a super power to me.

I also think this says something

just gonna point out that if you look north (where canada's ass would be) its a giant, stretched gap of water.

And you you guys it would be either our dick in your ass, or a dildo in your ass. (dildo = lake superior)

um what.

A country isnt desginated a super power beause it speads fairy dust around the globe and makes eveyone feel better dumbass. A super power is named so because it's actions have world wide consequences. If you look at the financial crisis in America you mentioned, it had a rippling effect across the entire globe.

Your response trying to prove me wrong only strengthened my case that the US is a superpower

and what the fuck does that chart have to do with bein a superpower?

Thank you sir. these dumb canadians cant say shit about super powers they arent even invited to the fuckin meeting they havent done shit on a global scale EVER except bitch out of wars. you damn canadians are only living above us on shitty land simply because we let you and when we found part of that land we liked, alaska, we took that shit. so let the big boys in america run shit and stand behind our military and shut up like you always do

a super power is based on economic, political, cultural and military power.

The United States has all of those. US economy tanks, everyone's does. Politically is obvious. A presidential visit basically shuts down entire cities, regardless of where he goes. (more true of obama than most other presidents)

Cultural power is interesting because a lot of it comes down to widespread advertising. Take for example Coca Cola, an American company. You can go to the most obscure village in Africa, and odds are there will be someone who knows about coca cola.

Military is simple. The US isn't the biggest, but easily one of, if not the most effective military powers. If a country is doing questionable things the US can do something as easy as having an aircraft carrier sit off their coast, and they will stop. The US can also deploy troops just about anywhere in the world in a matter of hours.

Not knocking canada here, but saying the US isn't a superpower is simply not true.

Dem fightin words boy. We have porn, fastfood such as in n out, five guys AAAAAND we have hashbrowns courtesy of idaho. We have almost too much to offer.

I don't see the whole deal between whos better. It seems both canada and america are both badass. Lets just join together as one huge badass family.

Anything is better than that shithole they consider a "country". Just america and canada are 10x better than the rest of the world is.
