USA vs. Canada

Canada is definately not superior, they have that fucking show Degrassi and the entire province of Quebec, those pricks. that just fucks over the entire country.

I live in Canada and it has its worthwhile aspects, but our justice system is way lax. I mean it's all fun and games until you have convicted pedophiles out on the streets again, "protected by the law." Other PC shizzle like this is what pisses me off about Canada. But I still think Canada owns.

wow. im from america. I havent been to canada before. I wanna go. I didnt know people would get so worked up over this. im sorry. I didnt mean to start a huge rivalry. canada is pretty cool with its lowered drinking age, its relatively easy politics, and awesome skiing conditions. America has its good points too. With our current president it shows kids that anybody can be president. Its warm here. I like warm - hot conditions every now and then. but, all in all, if passports werent so damn much, I'd prolly move to canada.

GO GET EM BOYS

I dont know what to say i live in CT usa and have been to many places in canda, and out west in the us once, i would have ot say out west in either US or CAN is better then the east, also i have only been to canda in the summer. I dont have enough experience to decide yet.

NO!!!! dont support our troops there all just fuckin retards for signing up i say we just leave em there and cut funding for our little project that was all about oil and shit not "terrorism"

We hate you too. Blatantly saying Americans are warmongers is ridiculous. Get out of the country if you don't like it here, it has a hell of a lot more to offer than 99% of the rest of the world, whether or not you agree with the current administration's agenda. Most people don't agree with it, and most people don't say they hate all of America because of it, and more importantly, most people aren't insensitive and dick enough to hate on the troops because of it.

All you are doing is defending why America doesn't suck, but you are not making a point of why it is any better than Canada.

I don't know why everyone is comparing the government of each country so much instead of comparing their everyday lifestyle, it reflects the same differences anyways in the end.

There are poor, unhappy people in Canada too. However, my life as a middle class citizen could not be better than it is living in Vancouver. I find small everyday things make a big difference, such as pretty much no aggressiveness, clean streets, no violence, nature, and multiculturalism. You can find all these qualities in the US too, but they are just not as widespread as they are in Canada...

Overall, it's a much more relaxed country, as there is very little political tension and conflicts in citizen's lives.

Both are cool. Both have ups and downs. Canadians are going to be talking about how we love war and violence and all that kind of shit. This may be true but there are a few options that can be backed up by history over and over again. 1.Be strong, have the best weapons, rule with an iron fist, gain power, control economy, and inlfict fear unto other countries. OR 2.Be weak, have shitty weapons and defense, get bossed around, and eventually be taken over. OR 3.A country is worthless because nothing is there so no one wants it so that country can just chill and stay worthless. I feel pretty good about the USA. We could own Canada within a matter of days if we so choose. So be nice, comply with our instructions, and we might let you live.

for the record: Tim Hortons is now (and has been for some time) an american company. it was bought by Wendy's a few years ago.

Hudsons Bay Company (including Zellers) and Intrawest are also American.

All Canada really has are our banks and Bombardier.

just thought I would throw that Wendy's distributed their Tim Hortons shares so technically doesn't own them anymore. but I own a little piece of Tim Hortons and I am Canadian

comparing your country to third world countries does not build a good image.

Analogy: I may beat my wife but my neighbour is a rapist. So I'm not a bad guy at all.

Thanks for bringing that up, say Brad Pitt beat his wife, it would be 5000x more covered by the media then some random joe who raped his wife.

Canadian health care isn't 'free', Canadians have alot more taxes to pay for all of it. If everybody in the world could just have free healthcare it'd be great but it will NEVER happen.

i have a friend who married a canadian girl, and who is going to UBC, having kids, and getting mad free money off the govt. as soon as he gets his free education, theyre splitting for california, where he can actually make some money. id say hes working it pretty darned good.

rossiboy900. You are correct in stating that the things I said such as: "Be strong, have the best weapons, rule with an iron fist, gain power, control economy, and inlfict fear unto other countries" are comparable to the acts of Hitler. And you are correct again in saying it didn't work for him. However, there are ways of doing the said things without ridiculing, torturing, and killing millions of people. Believe it or not the things I have listed that have been carried out by America for as long as you and I can remember, have kept an enormous amount of peace worlwide. We have stepped in to put a stop to numerous conflicts between other countries that didn't even involve us. These tactics may be harsh, but it is undoubtably an amzing alternative to all of the problems we have resolved by using them. Look it up kids.

you took that right from wikipedia didn't you

i'm not going to lie i live in canada and i just love it toronto is one of the dopest (figurativly/actually) city in the world girls is canada sooooo good sht i see pics of girls who are hot from the states and they're dirty american beer is a joke

i would like to go to college in canada. but just because someone is canadian does not automatically constitute a right to call americans "ignorant". i hate these stereotypes and anyone who believes that is ignorant in the first place. sure there are ignorant people in the us, but this is true of every country in the world, canada included. as a whole however, i really enjoy canada and hope to experience it more going to college in montreal even though quebec is far different than the rest of the country.

just responding to those who have commented on how cold all of canada is. well...i live in canada. in the summer here it gets to 42 degrees C. uhhhhhh

I'm pretty sure that the general reference of Canada being colder is the same principle as Florida being warmer than Vermont due to the proximity of Vermont. I doubt it's an offensive comment.

Mother Lager, #9, Blackberry Wheat, Otter Creek, Trout River Red, Circus Boy, etc. There are many very very good Vermont Beers that I personally feel are up to the Canadian level, though not on the level of amount of alcohol in them.
