US shipping to Canada Duty (Saga)

Alright so this year for the first time I decided that I wanted to order some ski stuff online. I wanted one of Sagas new jackets, they're sick. Anyways the prices are pretty good, so i figured i'd go for it. Unfortunatly when I actually got to the point of payment, i realized there was a 100 dollar duty tariff that made a 250 dollar jacket 400 bucks after shipping and taxes were added. After this I decided it wasn't worth it.

However, if anyone knows if there is a canadian company that stocks saga products it would be appreciated. I went on all the listed suppliers on sagas website and nobody seemed to have it on their online shop.

Any Help is appreciated!!

Also general commerce, tariff discussion. how the WTO is a failure for the everyday consumer etc...

Like I said I checked all their suppliers stores online and they had nothing listed, I may call them later today to see if they have it in store.

That sucks. I got saga 2 years ago shipped to Canada and it was much less than $100. I think the total was $430 or something for a $400 order.

just so you guys can see, I dont know if this is new or not, but I blame Harper.

I bought Saga this year and had to deal with the same thing. It sucks but I just paid up. Shipping anything to my house costs a fortune no matter what because I am in a rural area.

True, I just found a couple items on the Destructure website, they weren't listed under the jackets section.

This.. Or I would try to find a really trustworthy person here on NS, and have it shipped to their house and toss them some $$ to ship it to you.

I would do this, if anyone is willing there is a pair of never used smith fix's in it for you, from like '08 but still cash. PM me if anyone is down, we can work out the details.
