US Open Golf Championship

I'm sure I'll be following it when i go home this weekend for fathers day...my dad ONLy watches the golf channel :P
 
If Woods is 'on' there is no stopping him...but its been a while since he's really been 'on' so who knows...should be good.

 
go lefty!! but tiger will probably still dominate despite not having played 18 in like 2 months. i mean, he's tiger.

did anyone else hate how the first hour of coverage was just about phil and tiger. after each shot they analyzed and then showed it again. sure everyone wants to know how they are doing but come on, i want to see some other shots and players.
 
I really hope Tiger is ready to play and is not pushing it. He's still got a long career ahead of him and he doesn't need to damage his knee any worse by playing on it before it's ready. Nobody would question his heart if he didn't play this week.

Have you never watched golf before...that shit happens all the time...pretty lame though.

The one tourney i was watching tiger wasnt even in and they STILL fucking talked about him for 10 minutes every hour...lol
 
I happened to be flipping channels and hit espn when they had some guy on there who was a normal commentator or whatever, but he was suppose to be a scientist and he kept naming these facts like no man over 46 has won, no one out of the top 100 rank had won, so they narrowed it down to 5 different guys, but then they took the age of the winner last year, which was 32, and the only one in the group of 5 that was 32 is tiger, so apparently he's suppose to win.
 
hes +1 now, but i got my money that he wont shoot a round over par the rest of the tourney. winning score will be in the -1 to +3 range
 
ogilvy is such a solid golfer. he had so many bad lies but managed to get through the round with a 69 (-2). he is definitely in contention. retief goosen is my man. sooooooooo good., but +1 on his round yesterday. but be prepared to dish that out toph. tiger is hurting and i think he is pretty much out of the top 5, maybe in the top 10.

On a side note, adam scott being sponsored by burberry and titlest makes him a very appealing role model.
 
hahaha as much as i'd love to see tiger win, he's not going to. after his first day score of +1 AND his bad knee, he isn't on top of his game. he has to play pretty good today to have a chance...
 
You all act like +1 on the first day of a U.S> Open is a bad thing... Last TWO years the winner has posted a score of five over. EVeryone knows Tiger never really shows up to play until the weekend. THen it's on, and it's damn scary.
 
yeah but i don't think you realize he can barely walk normally. and i'm sure you golf, you know with all the torquing and what not his knee is absolutely killing him. he's not gonna be able to make the amazing shots he usually does. i'm not sure who i'm picking to win, but it's not gonna be tiger.
 
id like to see my boy luke donald take it, but i ahvent seen any of it, i dont know if hes even playing!

but tiger likes to let some other people lead till sat, then show em that they cant compete with him.
 
i have no clue how he is doing it. he is basically winning the us open with a fucking non-functioning knee. he is insane.
 
wince when do they do 18 hole playoff? is this just for the open? what hapend to sudden death hole playoffs that would have been so much better.
