just wondering if any body knows when they are and when the registration dates are for both of them cause i remember last yr how annoying the registration was for the us open.

thanks

You'll know when, its pretty easy to find out too, just check usfreeskiingopen.com they haven't updated yet though. And for the aspen open just check their website.

how good do you have to be to compete and not be like the worst one there?  like not to win but just to do ok.  like what tricks would you need to be able to do in a run?

yea, but last year they had the x-games in between the u.s. open and aspen open... its just going to cost a lot of money for kids who aren't locals in colorado if they want to do both..

and i heard that sia is in the same time as the u.s. open...

yeah but arent there like hundreds of competitors, i dont want to do it to do really good, i just wanna do it for fun, but i dont know how good most the people are.

i dont want to come off as a bitch, but dont waste a spot that somebody else could benefit from. Space gets taken up so fast, and some people get left out, some of whom have the potential to do very well.

The entire event is stacked. If you don't nail one of your two (tech) runs nearly perfectly, you won't even be close to the semi-finals.

i just wanna know how good most the people competing are.  like would a sw 7 and 9 or something be good enough to do somewhat well?  thats why i wanna know like what tricks alot of people are doing.  like my friend who watched last year said there were people doing just like 3's and 5's

there were definitely people doing just 3s and 5s. and those people doing 3s and 5s only took up spots that other people could have used. its the us freeskiing open championships, not (insert local mtn name here) slopestyle.

sw 7 and sw 9 is stock. its decent, but wont get anything special unless its going both ways and oozing style and is solid.
