US Olympic Snowboard Team Uniforms

I hope this hasnt been posted already.

Can I just say, white trash? Jeans? Really? Is Burton really not aware that jeans belong on the bunny slope with the weekend warriors and gapers? This is terrible. It is a sad day when you realize that Tommy Hilfinger has done a better job with the setups in past years than you are able to do as the face of snowboarding. Although I think Burton did the pin striped uniform and those were okay. All I can say is thank god we dont have to see Dumont, THall, or anyone else wearing these in the olympics.

Once all the hating is done I think it might be cool to consider who might/should be commisioned to make the skier's setups should halfpipe skiing ever make the olympics?

I would say Oakley. I dont know why, I just think they would make a gnarly uniform that would be much better than this shit.

I have to say i actually really like that outfit, but maybe it's a little casual for the Olympic team.

That is pretty terrible, the jean pants mostly. Maybe the canadian team could one up them with the canadian tuxedo.

It barely pays homage to american culture, since the material it attempts to imitate comes from France. And it just looks ridiculous. They should either have a proper team colours, or let the riders wear what they want. Not fucking smart casual dress.

WHen I read a couple of the comments before clicking I thought you guys were just overreacting... buttttttttt you are right, that is hilarious/hideous. I can believe one designer saying "here is what I propose as the Olympic team uni". But, the fact that the decision make committee of Burton gave that the thumbs up just blows my mind. How could so many be so off?

i find it funny how you all were blaming Burton, when it states in the article that all ideas for the "uniforms" came directly from the riders. read before you speak. idiots. anywho back to topic, jackets neat, pants are horrid.
And to that guy that said it would be horrible to see simon and thall etc. in this...dude they wouldn't wear this outerwear. in the event that skiing would make half-pipe in the upcoming years, solamon or a ski outerwear company would design it. You dont see the downhill teams training wear being made by burton...its made by spyder or dna. come on lets think.

This is actually the jacket, turns out the plaid is too trendy these days so they decided on this instead, it still goes with the jeans.

Oakley, Orage, Sessions or Salomon would all do a great job making something mainstream enough for the olympics but still unique. Since it's the olympics, Spyder would probably get the contract though.
