Is this invitation only now? Heard a rumor and wasn't sure. Doesn't make sense to me, but does anyone know? Maybe this has been asked. Any help is appreciated.

If it was the Us Open and it changed to an invite only, It would stop being called an open, and switched to an invitational.

There's only a certain amount of spots available for pre-qualifiers so they choose from there.

It's filled anyways...
