about this whole thing going out of control india is right by afghanistan and if we do anything bad to them they have nuclear capabilities...

 
What is scarier about this is that Pakistan, who initally said they were on the state's side, has now declared a holy war. They are calling it an attack against muslims, as apposed to attack against terrorism. Who know what'll happen next.

It kinda pisses me off that theryll all caught up in there religiong vs the USA's Many religions, doesnt seem to make sense.. Did they forgot about sept 11? it seems like it.

Pakistan is still on our side...it's just certain groups of radicals that have declared 'holy war.' To be honest a 'holy war' is nothing but two words meant to scare the shit out of people. A holy war is no different then a regular war, people just see religion as the basis and reason for fighting. As far as India having nuclear capabilities...well, there is no need to worry about that either. India has condemned what Al-Qaeda did and we have been on good terms with them for years. Any nation idiotic enough to fire a nuke on us would be done for because they would instantly lose UN relations, or chance there of, and would more than likely see a nuke the size of the Sears tower fired back at them from us. We may be more vulnerable than we thought before but the US is still a super-power with all the other super-powers lined up right behind us. Afghanistan is going to be a giant sand box in two months.

 
Ok Mr. Bob_Dole, before you ever try to put together another political campaign please look at an atlas. India is a good 300 miles away from Afghanistan at the closest point. Perhaps you are thinking of Pakistan that has a relitively long border with Afghanistan and also has nuclear capibilities.

Ok Mr. Doesnt Read Previous Messages. Someone previously mentioned they were concerned about us pissing off India and them having nuclear capabilities, I was just clarifying that India should not be a concern for many reasons. And 300 miles is a short distance in war, especially when there are fighters traveling at mach speeds. If you are so 'geographically aware' you would know that we actually have long range bombers located in the waters just east of India.

have you seen the taliban's airforce? its PATHETIC, like 12 40 year old planes, with pilots that dont know how to fly...

Actually, there is a real threat from the Taliban's air force. They figured out how to attach the bombs to their MIG so that they actually fall off when the button is pushed.

This was used to great effect last week when they dropped a cluster bomb on an empty field, waking up the town nearby.

this is scary stuff, no doubt, but with most of the world (its up to 40 countries now) backing the U.S., it shouldn't spiral out of control and lead to WW3. hopefully.

 
yea but depends who else gets into it... Like if we try to enter iraq or we accidently enter there airspace, and they shoot one of our planes down, they could become involved, anything could happen should interesting.

Rob, I've thought a shit load about ww3 and if it could happen here. My answer to it was no because we aren't fighting a country. We are fighting a group of people. And while a country is only a group of people who are alike and have common beliefs, there aren't enough of these people to form a nation. So we can't declair war on anyone except the people. And it would be a really lame war.

WW3. America, Canada, Britain, France.... vs. 584 Crazy Terrorists.

It wouldn't happen because it isn't realistic at all for us to even conceive of this as a world war.

Now my realistic senario: This war will be like the cold war in the sence that it will last a VERY long time with very minimal activity. There are two main differences; CW (cold war) was faught with Russia who was a clear opponant, and during the cold war there was an agreement to not fire a nuke (since the whole world will end with it). SOOO I see us doing specal opp missions for a long time to come, some even on our own soil in our own cities and neighborhoods as well as abroad.

My cents on the subject.

First of all you guys are missing the most important thing. Numbers don't mean shit. How many terrorists did they need to hijack 4 planes? I believe it was around 30 directly involved. When you bring the possibility of nuclear, biological, or even chemical weapons into the equation things get a whole lot scarier. There is no question that the US and everyone else on their side will eventually get all these terrorists. It will take a while though. The real problem is what are they going to do to us before we can get them? WW3 doesn't have to start in order for a lot of people to lose there lives. Lets hope nothing like that ever happens though.

I agree, who knows how many more attacks on the Us their will be. Bin laden has already called for the entire nation of islam to help fight. Obviously not all islamic people are against us but anything could happen.

 
this war will probly last forever because there will always be terrorists. we might take out the ones in afghanistan but there will still be ones in africa, south america, east asia, europe,etc...

India is a democratic country, and it is also under the british common wealth (similar to canada).

If india did ever do anything, it would be against pakistan, but they've been at war since the '40s.

first of all. They are starting to link almost every terrorist act in the past 5-10 years to bin Laden and his organization. so you saying that taking them out won't make a difference is just ignorant. And yes while it does take only 4-5 peopel to hijack a plane I have a very good feeling that we, as people, wont let it happen to us. If I was on that plane I would kill that fucker and all of them or die trying.

We as americans and the rest of the world won't rest untill we stop this threat. And yes only having a few people is an advantage on our side because it limits their resources sevearly.

Do you have any idea how hard it would be to launch a chemical war on america? whiile I think they could do it I doubt that they would get it to work to much avail at all.

Don't worry about the war lasting forever because one side will crumble just like the cold war. It is more of a waiting game than anything.

im pretty much ready for a world war. im gonna gead to new hampshire grab my 3 rifles and bow and go chill in my tree house picking off everyone coming up my driveway...
