URGENT! NEED HELP!!! Fulltilt buckle problem

sup dudes, so the top ratchet buckle on my fulltilts seems to have something wrong with it. visually it is looks perfectly fine, but when i tighten it and adjust it back, and then try to buckle it, it doesn't stay locked and just shifts forward to the loosest setting.

PLEASE HELP it is making my boots unbearably loose and I'm getting horrible shin bang.

Fulltilt make like 12 boots, which one and from what year do you have?

Try to find the broken part in herehttp://en-us.fulltiltboots.com/ski-boot-parts

Call them up they might give you a new one for free.

i have the same problem with my full tilts. just super glue a little piece of something on the bottom of the buckle so it does not go down all the way and push the button. that is what causes it to go back to the loosest setting. I used a small LEGO tile brick and just superglued it to the bottom of the buckle. it works fine now

The teeth on the track are too worn to catch.

Replacement needed.

sounds like the teeth on the buckle itself, i had the same problem they are ususally super chill about getting you a replacement

I honestly don't think this is the case. Myself and two friends have run into this problem using Full Tilts with the metal buckles. It's definitely a flaw in the design. The only solution I gathered was to get shorter cables so you don't have to buckle them down as far to where they want to snap back up to a loose setting.

Really? I've only really used em for like 20 days.

I've had the same happen on the middle buckle of my First Chairs. Although with less usage.

I can however close the buckle and it stays. It sucks. I'd get a replacement if one were available, but the Full Tilt rep for the UK didn't order any accessories or replacements....

I was having problems like this all the time. Broken buckles, ones that wouldn't adjust and ones that wouldn't stay in place. I sold my FTs and got Dalbellos. They are so much better.

I have the same boots and had my top Buckel had the same problem after like 6 days of skiing so I called up the guy I bought them from (a licensed full tilt dealer) and he just ordered me a new Buckel for free

Try out a boot that has a design and parts from this decade, not from before Reagan was elected.

In this case OP is talking about the metal FT buckles that were designed in 2013.

But you have a point.
