Urban Summer Skiing

Im probably gonna head up to kingston tomorrow and to meet up with a couple newschoolers and try out some urban jibbing. I think were gonna stop at a hockey rink and get some snow and then just find some good rails.

I can't wait it's gonna be so awesome if we get any of it on film. What kind of things should we remember to bring and remember to do to make sure that we aren't gonna be wheeled out on a stretcher at the end of the day. Im gonna bring some kneep pads and maybe some other stuff so i dont bust myself landing on pavement. What are some things you should bring to save your equipment too. And what are some ideal rails we should be lookin for.

Were gonna get lots of photographs and videos on it so we'll probably be able to upload some of it on the site for anybody who wants to see it too. Tomorrow is gonna be killer if we find some good rails and actually do em.

yeah, i've been wondering what the best way to get snow in the summer is.. I really dont have a hockey rink close by... any suggestions?

dirt skiing is the only other thing.

I lived in brockville for 6 years..on the corner of wall st and something, right behing the jail in the big yellow house

The only thing wrong with snowboarders is that they snowboard

maybe something like those water mats that you slide on when you were little kids, i forget the name of them but maybe you could slide on that.

i'm pretty sure metal edges would destroy a slipnslide...what you want is meeny greenies...(if you can find them) keep em wet and it's just like snow

i have a rail set-up at my friends right now. We bought indoor/outdoor carpet (kind of like plastic astro-turf stuff) for 32 cents per square foot. We mounted them on pallets going down a small hill .wet it down a little and you get plenty of speed. I had enough to do a 25ft rail to 15 foot double kink.

look for a rail with a hill leading up to it...i hate getting towed in by my friend cause its doesnt give you much time to think...
