it has been raining all day and i just went down to the park and went skimbaording in HUGE puddles for a couple hours it was sweet.

4.71 inche sof rain in seattle today and i ahd soccer practice! It was so tight the field had like an inch of standinbg water everwhere at least someplace was liek 5 inches the fields are way ghetto

(trust me, the '' things aren't actually there)

 
i went to mt. baker park and found a 20 ft long puddle and went crazy, its supposed to happon tommorrow and if it does, i will try and tape it and post Video, it was hilurius(i know its spelled wrong)

Last time I went skimboarding was in May, we had ~200mm (8 inches) in a couple of hours so there was some good flash flooding.

 
we used to go wakeskating behind trucks in the gravelpit behind my house. it was tight, until you fall in a couple inches of water.

opps I meant urban skimboarding not a slip and slide sorry.

You smell because all the melted snow goes through shit,mud and garbage its quite discusting but super fun.
 
its like surfing/skateboarding. you take some gangsta board that floats, set it on water thats maybe 4 inchs off the ground and run to the board and jump on, and then jsut glide. its sick, here is a bad picture of it

well no offense, but that is not skimboarding. real skimboarding is when u go straight down into a wave that's about to break, and you can cut back or catch air or w/e. i wish i could say i could do it, but i can't, it's really hard. i fractured my wrist on the first attempt with my friends board. this is more like it.

o yea and i also found out the hard way that bodyboards and wet grass don't work.
 
After one snow storm when it had been raining before, there was ice all down my driveway. I was siked. Got my skimboard and road until dark. I picked up my board at the end and happened to look at the bottom. It was all fucked up and it isnt as good now.
 
^that shits fucking hardcore! I suck so bad at skimboarding. whenever I do it I look like a girl and embarass myself, so I quit
 
one time i was jus skimmin along the beach, and did a hand drag spin... but i got around 1440... and damn... tj schiller and company have my respect... u get mad disoriented spinning that much / that fast
 
would anyone else be in if i started one? or somone else can i dont really car becasue im going to bed but if someone starts one let me in that shit
 
There's different kinds of skimboarding.

Wave skimming is where you go into the waves, then there's flatground, with rails and boxes and ollies and all that stuff.

Up here we pretty mcuh only have flatground. It's getting pretty big around here.

something like that you hit as an up-flat?

if thats correct i had the whole wrong idea. How ever, i saw a show on Extreme about it and it was threw the streets of vancourver. they would find puddles in the road and try to slide the whole thing (like 45+ ft ) so i guess there is like urban, and then ocean (waves) and then freestyle
 
ive done it down a beach on a golf cart, it's not near as fun as urban skimming.

I did it across a huge puddle in the road once in a big rain storm. My family was eating dinner on the porch of a resturaunt under the canopy, and me and my cousin finished while they had drinks. We went to the car grabbed our skimboards from the beach, and proceeded to slay the puddle in the middle of town with all the cars and passer-by's staring, so fun.
