Urban Skiing Forum

Over the past few years i have gotten more and more into packing the car up with a few buds, skis, and shovels and finding spots to hit in public, and now that we have a bc/touring forum, and it would be cool to have a forum to ralk about building spots and winches and whatnot or just tips and photo sharing, urban is super fun, not sure if there is a cult for it or something but i have barely ever seen urban skiing acknowledged on NS

Everytime I see an urban post It makes me sad. Where live we get a dusting of snow in the city to about half a foot.

i feel like the thread would just turn into bitching about why peoples skis got destroyed and how they are wanting warranty, not many would give pointers

I can already see the threads...

Fuggin cops!!

Broken arm again!!

Goat semen really?

Can I piss on concrete to wax it up Er no?

To shovel the stairs or not to shovel them?

How to ramp the audio on my shots?

Fuck the police!

Urban torch?

What kind of water jugs do you use?

i think it would definitely be a sweet forum. Hoping to do my first year of urban this seaon

i feel like everyone on this site that talks about how much they love urban skiing or about how much they wanna urban ski has actually never been urban skiing. Just saying, shit is not fun.

Been getting at it in duluth on 2-4" while it lasts for a few days. Got the shit kicked out of my shin last night by a sticky kinker. Also Benny Milan got this reaction vid from duluth and it's very worth sharing.

Met that kid and linked up with his crew on a trip to South Dakota 2 weeks ago, super raw snowboarder and good, funny ass kid. That video is absurd haha

There is definitely some validity in this sentence. Most of the gnarly rails or other big features aren't fun to hit, since so much effort goes into those spots. The end reward is why people choose to create segments, not because it's necessarily fun. That said though, there are some urban trannies or smaller features that are actually fun to hit, mostly because they don't require the same commitment

You're doing it wrong.

Maybe it's not your thing then. I'm not saying I've never been stressed out in the middle of the night trying to get shots, but I enjoy it.

Haven't been out for a few years. Hoping to get out this year, mostly filming though. I'm not throwing down shit any more.

Idk, I guess the fact that I set up features in the park for a living, doesn't really hurt. Laying down an inrun? building a takeoff? Shoveling stairs? no problem.

Also the ghetto shit, Like dragging over that dumpster for some extra speed. Or the random people you encounter at some of the spots for better or worse.
