Urban ski

companies should start putting out cheap urban rail specific skis think of it you the ski dose not have to be of any quality at all. also dose any one know how much companies (big, and small) flip on each ski sold?

Fugitives are pretty cheap, and too noodly to do anything outside of the park. You could also just re-use skis for urban, not buy new skis just to destroy.

Yea line invaders are your best bet, only $230 for new 06/07's or $300 for 07/08's but you can also just use any old pair of skis you have if you don't want to dish out the money, add some $100 look px12 jib's (06/07) and your at $330 or $400 new depending on which year you get for the skis.

I don't think companies would enjoy making skis that would just get destroyed and trashed. It's a better idea just to use some old skis which you probably won't use anymore (on the slopes)...

yea I don't really know how it would look in marketing "come buy our shitty skis so you can trash them!", but no really, just use old skis or pick up some cheapo old ones. you can even just get used skis if you want them for urban only.

last season was the last time for the triplets, now they´re called urban punx, and they come regular (2 skis) not 3 as they were last season. it didnt work that strategy for the 3 skis, one extra..

t would actually be very cool if ski companys made cheep skis for urban pupases...they dont exactley need expensive wood core or lots of testing...just a solid ski that doesnt blow up on rails...but I dont think there is a big enough niche in the market for it

true. and wow, i would have never figured out that i should just use old shitty skis for hitting city stuff!!!!!!!blew my mind, thanks ns.

I did this for a marketing project at Champlain College. I compared it to the Forum Street Dweller that Forum produced(they might still make it i dunno) I marketed towards line because at the time they had the reactor binders and you wouldnt have to buy a new pair of bindings just unscrew them and throw them on your urban skis. My teacher loved it i got an A and didnt have to take the final because they class voted it as the best in product in the class!!!!!

not really, because think about it, if you actually did break one ski, chances are the other one would be pretty beat up too, just not broken.....then you'd be skiing on one peice of shit ski and one brand new one

just urban specific or rail specific skiis would be hard for a company to continuolsy make. the industry and the people who ski just park when they are at the mountain is very small. it just wouldnt be worth a companies money to make an urban specific ski. its a good thought if your just doin rails all day.

There ought to be in skiing what blanks are in skateboarding. but when you buy a skateboard 80 percent of the price is cause of the brand/logo and 20 percent quality of parts. and i like to think when you drop a whole lotta money on skiis its cause your paying for like..72 percent quality and the rest percent staylyzin. so cause of all that there would still be expensive blanks and cheap blanks but of course you have that in skateboards but the range isnt that big. anyway...i said it first so if any companies start making ski blanks best expect to cut me in mongo time. or else what? or else i said so?
shizam.

seems like some one on here made a pair of those ahhhh last summer? any one know who that was?
